Burnden Leisure paid out just over 9million in interest payments last year. How much of that went to Moonshift Investments isn't stated. Probably a fair amount, though, since that's where the majority of the debt is owed.

Moonshift investments also received 2.8million in "Player performance fees". I make no further comment....

Moonshift being "the offshore company in which Eddie Davis is said to have a large (controlling?) stake and to which most of Burnden Leisure's debt is owed".

So ED's business made around £12m from the Club he owns last year alone. Tidy.

At least we shouldn't fear his walking away !!!

So he's earning not too far off 10%. There's not that many other places he could be earning that sort of return.

I seem to recall that the year we went down, we were told by lots of folks that Coyle had to "slash the wage bill". Phrases like "in half" were rolled out.

These Accounts rather debunk that myth.

I have gone from mildly optimistic at the beginning of the week to totally pessimistic now I am really starting to think about this game.

Yeovil have only scored 3 this season we have only scored 6 The stat that worries me is we have conceded 16 an average of 2 per game and to be honest it has felt like that. Yeovil have conceded 11 so overall we are pretty evenly matched.

I was hoping we would have signed a decent defender on loan, instead we sign a journey man midfielder (he may turn out to be good in this division I will wait and see).

I do not see much difference in this game than the previous 8, one this is certain we will concede which means we will have to score 2 to win.

Therefore, I am going for a 1-1 draw, which is not good enough in the position we are in but I cannot see us getting anything else. I will be shouting and singing the lads on to the bitter end.

I've been banging this drum for a while. He increased the wage bill by about £10M to the one he inherited. And still took us down.

Mind, water under the bridge right now.

Makes it all the more intriguing as to why dougieexcusedrum no. 15 being banged is money.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

This was obviously untrue and I'm not sure why so many believed it. Freedman made a couple of passing comments about FFP and those who defend him distorted those comments into "we have no money at all, Freedman isn't being backed". He asked for money before the season, spent more than most in the league and said he was happy with the squad and wasn't looking to bring anyone else bar Dawson in. He's now on the verge of the sack, asked for one last throw of the dice and received financial backing again, in the form of three loan players in the space of a week. There are managers in the league who dream of that sort of freedom to bring players in yet they just get on with it, without using lack of money as an excuse for their failures.

We aren't skint. The issue of FFP is there but if needs be, the club will spend. That's irrefutable.

Still..

Dougie needs a pre-season
Dougie needs his own players
Dougie needs more money

I wonder what the next excuse to be written off will be?

• Bolton are one point adrift at the foot of the table, and one of two clubs still chasing a first Championship victory, alongside Sheffield Wednesday.

• They have mustered three points from a possible 24, and have not won in 10 league outings, since a 2-1 home victory over Middlesbrough on 20 April.

• Defeat to Yeovil would see the Trotters losing as many home league games as they did in the whole of last season (three).

We are not going to lose. In fact, we are going to hammer Yeovil, absolutely batter them. The Hairy Biker has more chance of winning Strictly Come Dancing than Yeovil have of beating us.

QFT, well said!

Unfortunately, I can be anywhere near Bolton, internet, phone or radio on Saturday so I'll have to make do with the smug feeling inside and highlights on telly.
