I think McNaughton is a good player for this league too, though I remember him purposefully charging into Sian Massey a few years ago, which was a real dick move. That was just after Keys and Grey got sacked from Sky, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's why he did it. If he plays well for us, I'll be glad to have him here anyway.

Yeah, he could so feel free to pull me up on that, but Freedman could play Bogdan and Lonergan up front with Jay Spearing in net yet I don't think it should be picked up on if someone says he won't. You just have to assume that the manager will pick the best team possible and from what I know, that means Danns won't warrant a place in our starting 11 or be first option in case of injury/suspension.

you are missing the point - and (if I may say so) in your previous post, doing what you so eloquently accused Bruce of doing just a couple of weeks ago...

my point is this:

you are using Danns' loan as a pretext to bash dougie BEFORE you have even seen how he performs in the role dougie hs brought him in for..
SmokinFrazier wrote:He'll be 4th choice? 5th, maybe? To bring in someone who won't walk into the team on high wages and a possible loan fee is ridiculous
you said that signing him is ridiculous.

you backed that up by making an assumptions about what role he might play in the team and then - having seen Danns play "a few times" have decided that he is worse than just about our whole midfield - even though you still don't know what role dougie has in mind for him.

personally, I think it is ridiculous if you

a) haven't yet seen how a player fits into dougie's plan
b) don't know what dougie's plans for him actually are
c) don't really know that much about him
d) assume he is on high wages when you know no such thing
e) assume some kind of a loan fee when you know no such thing

to use a player's loan signing as some kind of stick to bash dougie with.

by all means - do that when/if you have seen how badly Danns performs or if he is never picked - but it's ludicrous to do so at this time.

to suggest that playing Danns would be somehow equivalent to playing Bogdan and Lonergan up front with Jay Spearing in net is simply pathetic.

never mind the quality feel the width !

just how many bog standard players do we need for every position. dougies teams rotation policy will be going into overdrive. perhaps we will be playing 5 mins on and 5 mins off just to keep everyone sharp and sweet.

no way was that accidental. you can see he kind of pauses and then carries on into her. didn't see much of an apology/ helping her to her feet either.

Also, I reckon Danns will play wide. I think Douglas has decided that we aren't going to score goals unless Eagles plays in behind the front man. Makes sense to me. Pratters is much improved, and can probably do a job deeper, but he's not good enough to be the 10 imo.

As accidental as me typing this is.

Anyway, let's not allow that to define his whole career.

He was trying to keep the ball in play.....but anyhow, this sums it up.

Three loan signings of players who can't get in there own teams in this league. It does not fill me with confidence. Dann may be in to replace Eagles has he his Shit 60% of a game. He should be supporting the striker not hitting the corner flag with is attempts at goal

Can see Dougie gone on Wednesday

There's some right bundles of laughs on here today.

May as well give up the season now 'cos anyone who comes in won't be good enough to replace the one's who currently aren't good enough.

For feck* sake lighten up.
