I must be deaf because I didn't hear much. Stayed well after FT aswell to see the players reaction with Dougie. They looks really demoralised.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Lots of booing....cmbfc_90 wrote:What was the crowds reaction like after the game?

Overall we had 3 or 4 very good chances and all should have been scored. Would we still be worried if we had thumped Yeovil today?
I really don't know what the think. The fight just isn't there in the players. Are they not upto it or is it just that they have lost faith in Dougie?
I think the problem is that half of these so-called PL players think they are too good to be playing the likes of Yeovil,when this Division has proved that they were never top drawer in the first place.Time to put a few youngsters in and show them what it,s like to want to play on the grown ups field!!!!!
Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
The thing was winds me up the most at the moment is the lazy arse starts and effort throughout. You would think the players would want to burst out of the traps and get at the opposition.jonnycooper wrote:ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. Do you really think anything other than an absolute dicking at the hands of Blackpool would occur in that situation?jonnycooper wrote:ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. people used to say that beckford wasn't scoring because he doesn't get the service...ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. Beckford had two second half put on a plate and should have put one away at least.
Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
Hope Odelusi starts next week. Beckford and Ngog have had enough chances this season.
Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
Just home. Watching SSN News through my fingers to see how the hell Boggers managed to let that in. I think he adopted the same viewpoint when the ball trickled towards him. I thought he looked shaky against Derby as well and Lonerghan should get a run now. Wouldn't drop a lad for one howler but fact is he's just not a good keeper.
Thought Medo was best player on the pitch, Yeovil were a poor side and should have been despatched easily despite the fact that we are also poor.
Beckford's one on one was appalling and I have taken a real dislike to the lad. Can only hope Davies if fit again because Ngog was also a disgrace, just didn't look bothered. Sooner we get rid the better.
Fair play to Knight for hooking a seemingly lost ball back in and to Mills for attacking it. And of course our swashbuckling top scorer Baptiste. Chungy was in a key role today and once again failed to deliver with his final ball. Absolute shadow of his former self.
I've seen us worse this season but it's very very far from acceptable. There was just stunned silence round me after the goal, could have got a bit nasty if we'd lost. There's no real zip and I really do now think that Dougie is totally failing to motivate a very weak-minded bunch of losers. 6 games to see how the loan signings get on and if no change I think he should be sacked. People are just giving up on the club at the moment.

On recent performances and results I'd say we're in for a dicking with the current lot. May as well try dropping all the useless can't be arseds.Whookam wrote:Do you really think anything other than an absolute dicking at the hands of Blackpool would occur in that situation?jonnycooper wrote:ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. First effort was lack of confidence.. The second was a very good effort I thought but should have stepped inside rather than shooting first time.thebish wrote:people used to say that beckford wasn't scoring because he doesn't get the service...ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. Not all down to the service but it helps.

I was surprised when we signed Beckford.thebish wrote:people used to say that beckford wasn't scoring because he doesn't get the service...ChrisC wrote:Hard to watch. Beckford had two second half put on a plate and should have put one away at least.
Looking like a lot of money wasted.

There was some booing but not a lot. Some applause as well. Not particularly harsh at all given the situation.ChrisC wrote:I must be deaf because I didn't hear much. I remember Knight being boo'd as he come on for the injured Tierney which was a bit naughty.
Forgot to say above, Ream was really good again today. Defended well centrally and then on the left and very calm and positive on the ball.

I'd just like to point out that Boggers now has more goals than our strikers.
I heard booing at half time, on substitutions and at the end....

Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
I fail to see what it would achieve. It's not going to motivate the first team players and it risks seriously demotivating the younger players if we get well beaten. From a management point of view it's career suicide because you can't just act all billy big bollocks by dropping the whole first team, watch the youth get stuffed (ooh!) and then bring the first team back. It's weak and petulant. What we need is someone to get the best out of the players we have now because we're stuck with them.Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:On recent performances and results I'd say we're in for a dicking with the current lot. Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
My first live game this season. Some observations;
Mills & Ream were both fine today. Looked a bit brittle at first but are easily good enough for an aspiring mid table Championship side.
All the midfield were fine too. Hall made some exciting runs down the flanks and could be a great player for us in the years to come.
CYL is a shadow of the player he once was and looked like a coward today, afraid to shoot at any opportunity. At one point he left his man for dead and you felt that might lift him, but as he gets near to goal the panic sets in.
Ngog is just a waste of space for me. 3 seasons in now and I'm fed up waiting for him to deliver.
Not hard to see why Leicester fans are laughing at us looking at Beckfords body language and his one on one efforts, although to be fair he was very unlucky with his late header.
Dougie for me was at fault with the double substitution which upset our rhythm. Beckford for CYL would have been the right move.
Thought the fans were quite supportive on the whole - although the booing of Knight coming on by some just beggared belief and the ironic cheers for Bogdan after his feck up, will have destroyed what little confidence he had left.

Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
Well, first & foremost ... albeit against no strikers worth mentioning .... Ream looked positively good.
Hall was excellent throughout. MoM for me.
Feeney, whilst a little basic, got more crosses over in 20 minutes than I've seen in whole games very often.
Mills looked OK too.
============================
Time will tell, but the way they strapped up Tierney's leg before getting him away makes me fear a ruptured Achilles. Not nice at all. Hope I'm wrong.
============================
OK .... N'Gog. I'm speechless. What's the point of him ? Truly was like playing with 10 men till he went off.
Medo, we should try and use him more forward rather than alongside Spearing. I think they neutralise each other.
CYL, I'm at a loss. Whether he wants away, or his form is shot after his big injury, but though he's clearly capable there's nothing coming from him.
Eagles had one of those 'where is he' games. It happens with flair players. Today was one of them.
Boggers ... every keeper has one of them in his locker, regrettably. Hopefully he just pushes it away and moves on.
Baptiste, bit of a curate's egg for me. Some good, some bad. Still settling I guess.
Spearing, still struggling to regain last seasons form, but the least of our worries.
Beckford, far, far, far better than N'Gog, but should have scored with his one on one.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once
Just back in and to be honest, my head is mashed. I'm really not sure what to make of the match today.
There were as many positives as negatives and I do think we will get out of this. The centre back pairing worked well today, Ream was my motm and he brought some good cover at left back. Spearing and Medo worked well in the centre and Hall was outstanding in possession.
Cyl should never start another match for me, he was awful from start to finish and looks terrified every time he picks the ball up. Ngog got a lot of stick from people today but playing one up front where he was surrounded by at least three players every time we lumped the ball to him just wasn't working. The new lad looked barely match fit but he put some great crosses in.
I think dougie has got the tactics wrong at home and some players are hiding. Can we turn it round? Yes I think we can.
