Just back in and to be honest, my head is mashed. I'm really not sure what to make of the match today.

There were as many positives as negatives and I do think we will get out of this. The centre back pairing worked well today, Ream was my motm and he brought some good cover at left back. Spearing and Medo worked well in the centre and Hall was outstanding in possession.

Cyl should never start another match for me, he was awful from start to finish and looks terrified every time he picks the ball up. Ngog got a lot of stick from people today but playing one up front where he was surrounded by at least three players every time we lumped the ball to him just wasn't working. The new lad looked barely match fit but he put some great crosses in.

I think dougie has got the tactics wrong at home and some players are hiding. Can we turn it round? Yes I think we can.

Yes the cheers for Bogdan catching the ball were pathetic, were they trying to make him do it again? I hesitate to call them 'ironic cheers', to me use of irony suggests intelligence.
I thought the boos were fairly muted considering our position. I made a point of applauding Knight onto the picture not because I think he's any good, but because I'm embarrassed by idiots who boo an oncoming player. He actually made himself useful as an emergency forward, so credit where it's due. Just don't put him back in defence!

Well, first & foremost ... albeit against no strikers worth mentioning .... Ream looked positively good.

Hall was excellent throughout. MoM for me.

Feeney, whilst a little basic, got more crosses over in 20 minutes than I've seen in whole games very often.

Mills looked OK too.

Medo, we should try and use him more forward rather than alongside Spearing. I think they neutralise each other.

CYL, I'm at a loss. Whether he wants away, or his form is shot after his big injury, but though he's clearly capable there's nothing coming from him.

Eagles had one of those 'where is he' games. It happens with flair players. Today was one of them.

Boggers ... every keeper has one of them in his locker, regrettably. Hopefully he just pushes it away and moves on.

Baptiste, bit of a curate's egg for me. Some good, some bad. Still settling I guess.

Spearing, still struggling to regain last seasons form, but the least of our worries.

Beckford, far, far, far better than N'Gog, but should have scored with his one on one.

Dougie says our youngsters 'aren't ready.'

Ngog looks like he doesn't care. I'd rather play a youngster who is hungry and wants to play rather than an overpaid, overrated striker who can't be arsed. I would be happy if Ngog never pulled on a Bolton shirt ever again.

Chungy was poor again but I keep thinking back to the QPR game where he played through the middle and was much, much more effective than whenever he plays out wide. I'd like to see him operate through the middle behind the striker in what is becoming known as the 'no.10 role.' Alas, I can't see Freedman trying it again as his hand was forced for the QPR game.

What I did notice was how urgent the players became when we scored; I saw Beckford and Knight in particular showing a desire all of a sudden to ignite the team and spur them on to grab a winner. This urgency and desire seemed lacking too often, particularly from the aforementioned Ngog and Chungy.

To sum up; this run of results is staggering with the players we've got. I keep telling myself that it won't go on like this but if certain players continue to lack application and desire, and if Freedman continues to play them then you do wonder. And our strikers just cannot score. I have no faith whatsoever in Ngog which just leaves Beckford and Cravies.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to defend N'Gog. N'Gog was a hinderance today. The number of times he was flagged offside didn't do us any favours whatsoever. If the linesman is consistently flagging for offside when playing off the shoulder of the defender then N'Gog should try angling the runs to get up momentum before the ball is played, as opposed to just running, or in his case today, walking, straight offside. Even the goal that was disallowed about five minutes into the match was flagged for offside because of N'Gog's positioning. I struggle to see what he adds to the side and even when I do see something worthwhile its quickly followed up by something that proves my thoughts.

The defense was good today. They did themselves justice and dealt with everything that Yeovil could throw at them. Unfortunately the clean sheet was lost due to a long shot that was spilt, we restricted them to long shots that the keeper should've dealt with all day.

Adam Bogdan. It's happened way to often. Freedman was singing his praises about not putting a foot wrong aside from that mistake and he is correct. He may be the best goalie we have at the club, but I wouldn't advocate any goalkeeper being kept in the side when he's prone to that many clangers. Hopefully he'll come back better but for me its time for Lonergan to get a substantial run in the side.

Freedman. He talks a good game but I have my doubts. We're missing a big man up front, so much so that we're playing Zat Knight as an emergency front man to win the headers. Why not use Tom Eaves for that front man role. He's clearly the closest thing we have to Kevin Davies style player. We've not got strikers that are scoring so at least have them contributing and I would say Eaves would put a good shift in. He's out on loan at the minute but sending him out on loan is questionable.

The midfield played well.

Zat Knight with his brief introduction gave a captains contribution today. Great persistence at the back post to get to a ball that he could've quite easily have left. Thats the sort of persistence we should see from a captain, good example for others to follow in that instance.

It's quite simple, don't defend him! He's not worth it. I used to but have conceded I was wrong and he's a lazy gutless waster with an awful attitude who will never make anything like the best of the talent he's got. The sooner he's out of the club the better.

Tierney had to be replaced after 64 minutes at the Reebok Stadium, after coming out of a 50/50 challenge with Glovers defender Shane Duffy in considerable pain. The former Norwich City defender received treatment on the sidelines, but was in clear discomfort as he was taken down the tunnel and off to hospital.

Initial reports suggest the player will undergo a scan on his tibia and fibula, with Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman describing the situation as 'difficult' in his post-match interview. The full extent of the problem, however, is not yet clear.

Bone rather than Achilles or ligaments seems likely then. That, oddly, is the better option unless it's on CYL lines.

It happened right in front of me. As soon as the players crashed together it didn't sound or look good. When they eventually helped him off they had stripped his leg completely and he looked in a lot of pain hopping off.

Hard to watch. Beckford had two second half put on a plate and should have put one away at least. I felt like crying when they scored just think of the famous Taibi through the legs playing for the rags. Our own fans turned on him after that which was helpful .

Overall we had 3 or 4 very good chances and all should have been scored. Would we still be worried if we had thumped Yeovil today?


I really don't know what the think. The fight just isn't there in the players. Are they not upto it or is it just that they have lost faith in Dougie?

I think the problem is that half of these so-called PL players think they are too good to be playing the likes of Yeovil,when this Division has proved that they were never top drawer in the first place.Time to put a few youngsters in and show them what it,s like to want to play on the grown ups field!!!!!

On recent performances and results I'd say we're in for a dicking with the current lot. May as well try dropping all the useless can't be arseds.

I fail to see what it would achieve. It's not going to motivate the first team players and it risks seriously demotivating the younger players if we get well beaten. From a management point of view it's career suicide because you can't just act all billy big bollocks by dropping the whole first team, watch the youth get stuffed (ooh!) and then bring the first team back. It's weak and petulant. What we need is someone to get the best out of the players we have now because we're stuck with them.

I wasn't saying drop the entire 1st team. Some of them are doing alright, if not brilliant. Some (like Ngog) look lazy, can't be arsed and contributing very little despite his talent. He's been like this for a long time now. Drop him and the like from the squad. I bet we'd not miss them seeing as they are doing fck all now. A kid with a bit of enthusiasm that is told to go out there, enjoy it and that the shirt is his to keep if he has a decent game - If a youngster doesn't want to have a go at that then they shouldn't be anywhere near professional football. They'll only be destroyed if idiot fans/team mates and manager tells them they're shit.

Exactly AT, don't understand why Eaves was let go unless we bring in a very good striker on loan. He can't possibly be worse than Beckford/Ngog, who are atrocious. He's been around the club a while, if he's not ready now when will he ever be? I will trust your verdict on him overt Paul Merson who said he was a key performer for Bolton today. I think CYL is a very good player but he has lost his way.
