We certainly weren't in the Prem, but compared to your Yeovils and Barnsleys we're a money club.
Mavies, Eagles, Spearing and maybe Medo are the only ones I'd be bothered about losing, not including the new 'uns as I think it's a bit early to be judging them.

He said they were good lads who had done well for him and committed uncharacteristic errors. A far cry from serial underperformers like Ngog/Knight/Wheater for example.TANGODANCER wrote: Brum's manager last week claimed he wasn't blaming two of his players for letting us score. They commited no sins. There was nothing to blame them for. The defender got turned and left for pace once by Beckford who scored and the keeper misjudged a ball for our second. Neither offence was a sacking job, just real unlucky for them with the keeper, and Beckford doing his job for the first. I didn't see either player as failures, just another day at the office. When does everything ever go right all the time? Was Bogdan spilling the ball into our net last week failure, or just sheer bad luck? Careless maybe, but unintentional. Time to stop dreaming of our golden era, it's gone, and start finding ways to beat the Bournmouths, Doncasters and Yeovils down here in reality land. Start doing that and we can go from there.
True, and the best way is to start with players who look like the are really up for it.

I won't even pretend I know O.D. All I know is we're not a Premier League team right now so what's the point of thinking that way and what players are worth etc? All I was saying is we need to forget status and just concentrate on winning games at the level we're at, whatever it may be. We keep talking quality players et, yet we're propping the Championship up,eleven games in. We need to forget league tables and promotion etc, and just go the one game at a time route. Like I also said, I give both Freedman and the players credit for knowing where we're at and also knowing something needs doing, and pretty soon. I'm really hoping a few wins will happen and set us off back in the right direction. Right now, Sheffield Wednesday are Real Madrid as far as we're concenrned, not Moss Bank Rovers. Get in there.officer_dibble wrote:TD wasn't there a wages budget league table? And we were third behind wiggin and qpr?

I guess someone on here's seen him a dozen times or so and can report in.

Nixon has worded his article carefully, but Freedman wants Zaha on loan.

.... and, of course, it was Red Nose who bought him, not Gollum so it's feasible he isn't fitting in as envisaged.
I'd think they'd prefer him to try and get up to speed in the Premiership though. Of course Freedman is his old mentor so it's possible. Who would be shipped out for him though ... Shirley not CYL ... or the new 27 yr old wonder kid Mr. Feeney ??

Never got the hype with Zaha. Wouldn't say no to him on loan but definitely not the superstar he was made out to be in the media.
