Top Secret is a feckin classic! If its not dated too much you'll love it. Easily as good as Police Squad, Airplane etcmrkint wrote:Just found out that the guys behind Airplane made a film other than Airplane, Airplane 2 and the tv series police squad - Top Secret! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cFSWxzXXOo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
My boss has it on dvd and is lending it to me. Watching that over the weekend

She's using the feminist card ... after all that.
If she watches the shows back she may, just may, see that the vitriol was dedicated solely toward her. A pretty thing but knowingly conniving. The tears, if real, suggest she's crackers and needs years of counselling. If not real then, along with the hang-dog eyes-down look, the false surprise as she won rounds, the feigned modesty were all a manipulation.
The one interesting thing was that this all ended about 6 weeks ago ... yet the winner's name did not seep out. Amazing these days. It also meant Ruby had the past week of high vitriol whilst knowing she hadn't, actually, won.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Just watching Hotspot, a 1990 film I just stumbled upon and then stayed on because of the utter magnificence of Jennifer Connolly in a bikini. Outrageous.

Totally agree. I usually like Will Smith, but this is one of the biggest piles of Bilge I've seen in a long while.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:SPOILER ALERT.

I think its been mentioned before, but got really into the "Louie CK" series on Comedy Central & FOX. For an American comedian, he's piss funny

I've just found we can sign up for Netflix via our Virgin box. Its possible I've missed it previously but I'm pretty sure its a brand new option on the menu. Looks like I've bought my last DVD!

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Watched Spike Island yesterday, immediately followed by Made of Stone. An excellent evening of The Stone Roses.
Re: What are you watching tonight?
Was made to watch this by a guy I was staying with for a couple of weeks in France earlier in the year on the first night. Thought it was shite, but made the mistake of laughing along at a couple of points to make it less awkward. Problem is, my act must have been convincing as he spent the next 2 weeks endlessly quoting the film with me again having to awkwardly laugh. He then suggested watching it again on my last night there.Harry Genshaw wrote:Top Secret is a feckin classic! If its not dated too much you'll love it. Made of Stone is great but that spike island is a bit of a turkey tho. Harmless enough, just an episode of Shameless

It's ok in a nostalgic kind of way, can't see it being if any interest to anyone other than stone roses fans in their late 30's tho
