That's contrary to things I've heard. Lawrence, an astute man with an encyclopedic knowledge of the game is prone to moments where his head falls off and rolls around the floor. Freedman calms him down and refits said head, pointing forward.

Course, that may be bollocks.

Do you think that's correct Boris.

If so, for him at least, that's huge. I have seen Sir Len as the truly stabilising factor in the inexperienced DF's attempt to manage us.
I don't really subscribe to it to be honest. Why would he hang about at his age of he's pissed off?

I think I'd be more worried about the likes of Phillips and Lee (both) having any links to the senior set up severed
Interesting, Bozza, that you helped spread a rumour you don't subscribe to.

I don't doubt that DF and LL have disagreements. People making big decisions should do, or it's Yes Men. But when that gets spun into the terminal-sounding "losing people", it sounds more serious than it might be.

As for Phillips and Lee, Didsy has thrown his woolly hat in for the Bury job. I'll be honest and admit to a frisson of relief when I found it was him and not Sammy, but yes, it would be a blow. That said, good young managers won't hang around forever teaching teenagers.

Enough is enough....unless he's sacked this week I'm out for the rest of this season or until he goes and a few others said the same today.

It's utter abysmal dog shit shocking League 1 standard football week after week with this fcuking novice....if the chairman won't sack this clown, and the players certainly aren't playing for him then why the fcuk should the supporters put up with it....it's a fecking chore sitting through this and a absolute waste of peoples time paying to watch that shower of useless shite.

But he'll come out with his usual embarrassing post match interview seeing a totally different game to everyone else - he's totally deluded as is our shocking excuse for a club chairman....ED should sack them both tonight and put anyone and I mean anyone in charge as they couldn't possibly be worse than this charlatan Freedman.

I can't carry on watching this club be dragged even further down by a team of absolute amateurs.

It was yet another tactical masterstroke on Dougie's part. The fact he was overlooked for the City and Chelsea jobs is an absolute disgrace.

What I want to know is this. Not long after he'd turned up Freedman said "These players can't see a game out and I'm here to show them how to do that". Five times this season we've surrendered games that we were winning. So how's that coming along, Douglas?

I've had enough of him now. Go away and take your boring shite football with you. I've been 'educated' in it now over the past year, and I don't want to see it again.

I went out with the missus today, rather than watch a home game. Anyone going to tell me I missed out?

His run at Palace that got him the job here, and the run last season are looking more than ever like he stumbled across something through luck more than judgement.

Last years run was as a result of "the work we were doing on Xmas day, when everyone else was eating their turkey"

Well, all our pre season work has us 4th from bottom and looking bereft of ideas.

We could well be sleep walking our way towards relegation

Looks like we should give up football and accept we are just a hotel with the biggest lawn in the world. :)

I noticed Freedman talk about the formations he's played this year but why doesn't he realise that rather than that being a potential cure to our problems, it's the reason behind it? He had an entire pre-season to test out new things and then weeks to pick a formation and stick with it, so why are we seeing the constant changes in selection and formation now? You can't just expect players to come into a new role and expect them to fit in perfectly, nor can you expect them to sit on the sidelines for weeks on end and then when they're given a chance, to suddenly play brilliantly. Sometimes things don't work in football but there's plenty of reason to stick with something you believe will work, rather than just changing it in the next game. We've seen so many different tactics and players this year, it's no wonder every performance is so disjointed. Some of our fans pick up on the players not trying enough but is it any wonder they've lost faith in Freedman, when he doesn't have faith in himself?

We've not played many games this season yet look at the teams we've picked. We've had two keepers, the centre backs have changed from Wheater and Knight to Mills and Reams, the full backs have been all over the place, we've tried so many people out wide and then played around with the strikers. The only consistency has been with Spearing and Medo in central midfield. It's disjointed and it's clear that Freedman doesn't have a clue what his best team is and the players need that consistency to form partnerships all over the field.

It's truly awful to watch us right now. Sammy Lee must be the only person hoping Freedman keeps his job because the longer he's in charge, the more likely Lee will lose the 'worst manager in modern BWFC history' tag.

Excuse the double post, but a few weeks ago, I highlighted a problem against Blackburn which lead to them steamrolling us and had that problem been corrected, we wouldn't have conceded the goal we did today. The ball gets crossed into our box and when the first shot is hit, there are 7 Bolton players behind the penalty spot and the two Ipswich players are absolutely free on the outside of the box. That should never, ever happen outside of under-13's football. It's just wrong and why is this constantly allowed to happen? When they break, you can see all those outfield players bust a gut to get into our box, so I don't think it's a coincidence that this keeps happening. It's the most basic form of defensive strategy imaginable and it simply doesn't work. I don't mind defending deep or defending in numbers but you simply cannot have so many players in such a tight area, whilst allowing two of their players to have a free shot. It should never happen and yet it's a problem which has been there all season and yet still not addressed.

Hang on fella! Christmas maybe.
What amazes me is how people seem to forget in order to rebuild we have to stablise the situation first and that is were we are decidedly rocky at the moment, a point that looks to have bypassed Freedman, Gartside and a lot of fans. There has to be some massive improvement on the finished articule i.e. the first team and comfortable midtable by the turn of the year has to be the goal, anything less then the foundations may as well be built from soft sand.
This must be the KPI for Freedman to retain his job.

Not looking good and the optimism of the brum game has gone. DF is sounding so conservative, talking about shutting up shop against ordinary teams when one up. Never something this set of players have been capable of in the past and will not go down well with fans who want to be entertained. We have had poor luck but there is a saying about lucky prime ministers that applies to managers too. We wont go down and we will get at least to mid table with DF in charge but that wont be enough if the football is awful. But I remained unconvinced that ditching him now is the way ahead. Not blind faith,I just believe the alternatives may be no better, the cost would be high and one season is not long enough to turn around what he came into. It's worrying to see some of the attitudes from players and not encouraging to recognise the limitations of DFs tactics. I still think he needs to be backed and I hope he doesnt remain as entrenched in negativity as coyle was in stupidity. There is a success happy medium and it shouldnt be rocket science to recognise that. By all means bore away fans to death but at home if he doesnt show more ambition the the encroaching pack of hounds will swell and change will be forced.
