If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

How's your running coming along Bish? Still going out 3 times a week on the couch 2 5km course or are we sitting in cafes stuffing cooked breakfasts? ;)

Sorry to be spreading the misery, but tried my first jog yesterday after 17 days off and was almost immediately in pain. Been to an osteopath this morning as the physio isn't helping enough.
Was loving getting back into running but this is standard for the last 10 years and why I also hate it!

Oh mate - I feel your pain. Hope things get better soon.

I went for a scan on my achilles this week. I have some 'calcification' around there and the Radiologist told me not to run for at least 3 months. I've barely done anything this year as it is!

I might follow her advice and use the time to get a load of cross training in as well as correcting my gait. Gutted to be missing XC season though

Sorry to hear bad news injury wise for both of you lads. :( Why don't you take up swimming for a bit, much kinder on the body and will help you maintain a good level of fitness.

Yes that sounds a lot worse than what I've got HG, hope it gets fixed. I'll stop moaning now and head out on the bike round Belmont.

back, wet through and knackered. Took over 30 seconds off my 5km time after taking a minute and a half off last week so I am improving, still don't have much motivation though, I'd far rather play football then run long distances- it's just a more fun way to exercise IMHO...

who's forcing you to run?? :conf: life's too short to persevere with stuff you hate doing if you don't really need to do it!!

I do need to do it, I eat too much junk food and I'm unfit. Besides, a few years back, when I was running regularly there did come a point when I quite enjoyed it and it didn't feel so much like hard work.

Eh?! :conf:

terry thomas - famous for acting a seedy, lecherous character who would have muttered a suggestive "well, ding dong!" at the sound of a young lady declaring she was soaking wet...
