If the lad can finish, let him have a go.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

I'd wait for the FA Cup, missen. Then let's have a look at a few.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Jeez Brucie. That's our only chance left, for a bit of silverware this season...Bruce Rioja wrote:I'd wait for the FA Cup, missen. Then let's have a look at a few.

Decided to go and support both our youngsters today at Chester, and yes Connor did score and oh boy what a GEM of a goal it was as well...!! If there is any conference highlights from today be sure to try and watch that. He put Chester into the lead with a screamer from the edge of the penalty area unfortunatly didnt claim all 3pts as Aldershot got the equaliser on the edge of normal time.
Performance wise Connor lead the front line pretty well and sure the goal will fill him with confidence as thats now 5 goals in 2 games after he notched 4 at Blackpool for the u21's last game. As for Chris Lester he played the full 90mins and as usual gave it his all but nothing of real note came from his efforts but sure he will enjoy his time at Chester. Next weekend they travel to Hyde where Chris will come up against an old pal at left back in Adam Blakeman.

Thank heaven Ngog scored today otherwise I might never hear the end of it for sticking up for him when levelled with the idea that young Wilkinson is more worthy of a shot at Championship level than the Frenchman.
Out of interest, did Connor use his right foot for much today? If you report he scored the gem with it then there may be hope yet!

Haha! is this an 'i told you so' post? I just hope Ngog doesn't revert to being lazy and shit like he has been for much of this season. If so I'd once again advocate dropping him and giving an on form youngster a chance. I used to be a big defender of ngog, but no more.Dr Hotdog wrote:Thank heaven's Ngog scored today otherwise I might never hear the end of it for sticking up for him when levelled with the idea that young Wilkinson is more worthy of a shot at Championship level than the Frenchman.

delighted for both of them though.

Far from an 'I told you so'. I'm glad for them both, truly. I'm all for giving youth a chance, but I think the league position we're in dictates what we can and can't do, selection wise.
Right now, both strikers where they need to be.

You've typed that and yet wonder why he isn't in our team?LeverEnd wrote:And then Eaves gets on, looks promising if unspectacular, gets talked up then kicked in the teeth and plonked on Rotherham's bench.
In the run beginning with Blackpool, we've conceded 4 in 6, two an own goal and a shocker from Bogdan
I don't see why we would want to play Kellett...we've already got Ream as one of our 'big lads' so limited as Baptiste is at left back, on balance, he's our best option

Re: Chris Lester and Conor Wilkinson go on loan ...
But he WAS in our team, albeit on the bench. Was talked up as being part of the first team squad, given a contract and then ditched. What's the point of giving him a contract? He might not be good enough, but whichever way you look at it it's bad from Dougie's point of view.CAPSLOCK wrote:You've typed that and yet wonder why he isn't in our team?LeverEnd wrote:And then Eaves gets on, looks promising if unspectacular, gets talked up then kicked in the teeth and plonked on Rotherham's bench.

... and Dougie has a sense of humour. This, re Conor Wilkinson ;

Excellent"He's a big lad but he still needs to fill out a bit - and he can't head the ball as well as he should because of his fancy haircut, which will be coming off him very soon."
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Not so.LeverEnd wrote:but whichever way you look at it it's bad from Dougie's point of view.
Re: Chris Lester and Conor Wilkinson go on loan ...
Obviously I disagree! I just think that a lad of his age who has been at the club as long as he has and has been talked up, brought into the first team squad and given a new contract should have been given game time when our other forwards were playing atrociously (and still are in the case of Ngog).Enoch wrote:Not so.LeverEnd wrote:but whichever way you look at it it's bad from Dougie's point of view.
