Working away has it's benefits. In blissful ignorance of all that shit. Didn't even know it was back on.

I just seriously don't understand the fascination people seem to have with what "celebrities" think and do in order to remain "celebrities"...

I'm no particular fan of Bob Mortimer, however, he's recently risen in my estimation having Twatted this;
'Things more entertaining than Dr Who'

To be fair, unlike Reeves, Mortimer does make me laugh from time to time.thebish wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:I'm no particular fan of Bob Mortimer, however, he's recently risen in my estimation having Twatted this;

Re: What are you watching tonight?
There was a genuinely interesting debate going on last night (spoiled by editing) where Lucy was asking, nay challenging Amy about her chosen career in modelling (she's GB's representative for Miss Universe)
Lucy's point of view was that Amy, by participating in her career wa smaking people like her (Lucy) feel under pressure to look perfect all the time which made her go out and have boob-jobs and botox to remain appealing.
Rebecca Adlington said she was abused on Twitter on a daily basis because she was so big and fat and ugly.
Then Amy started walking round in a turquoise bikini and flibbidy wah wah fnrrrt fnrrt wobdiddly.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
I don't think its anything to do with the celebrity bit that's interesting - I don't know who half of them 'are' anyway. Its interesting to see how people cope in a situation like that and what goes on. I'd love to watch you lot in the jungle. That would be hilarious. I think we should have 'I'm a Bolton fan, get me out of here'thebish wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:Erm, you watch casualty?!thebish wrote:really???Gooner Girl wrote: I'd like Rebecca or Steve to win but there's no denying he's entertaining telly...Therefore your opinion on what makes entertaining telly doesn't actually count

So you watch it too... Kept that quiet.
Was hard last night to see someone who has actually done something with her life and achieved a tremendous amount (I'm thinking Rebecca here, not Lucy) feel lesser then a beauty model and to be moved to tears by the abuse she gets because she doesn't look a certain way. Her body has done amazing things for her yet still there's taunts from pig ignorant blokes who are shallow and only think with what they have got between their legs. Makes me cross.

well... if it was about that - then the title wouldn't make it plain it's about celebrities!!

blame blokes all you like - but I still think that the greater part of this pressure that women feel to look a certain way actually comes from other women...

She's the one who went to work in a swimming costume !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
