Aye, but if you'd added the words 'anal fisting' rather than just 'caution' I may well not have opened it.

Watched Argo last night. Didn't know the actual story. I'd always assumed that it was about negotiating the rescue of the hostages that had been taken. Enjoyable and tense throughout, though the ending was obviously 'souped up' for the cinema.

Read an article today from the Canadian perspective, rather than the American's exaggerated version of events.

Actually it had a lot to do with Canada and little to do with the CIA. It wasn't just the ambassador, Ken Taylor, who hid them but another diplomat who was not even mentioned in the film. But Hollywood has to tell a story and we understand that.

Yep, I knew that. It was a facetious reply as the two protagonists were dancing from foot to foot across the goal mouth.

Can't remember if true or not, but the CIA's biggest contribution was that they took the Canadian issued passports and stamped in the visas, and when the Canadian diplomats checked the passports the CIA had stamped in the Americans as arriving in Iran after they were supposed to be departing. Think that was left out of the movie. Jimmy Carter I believe had a few cynical words regarding the accuracy of the movie, which was based upon CIA accounts. Believe they were also involved in the Bin Laden movie as well, which implied that water boarding was used to extract vital information, which I think was false.
