I'd be perfectly happy for Scotland or Bolton to win something.
But not England. Funny that.

Re: Tonight's Football
So yesterday one of my athletics club friends bounded up to me and told me with glee that if his team (Southampton) beat us on Saturday then they go top of the table (if Liverpool lose)
Hopefully we won't lose and it won't happen, but thought it was quite an encouraging thought for you Bolton fans, Southampton have been crap for years in lower divisions yet mid November they could be topping the premier league this season, just goes to show anything can happen in football... (Not that I am saying you are crap much
)

It's amazing what you can achieve on the quiet when you can afford to have a £15m striker warming the bench.
Money talks.

Re: Tonight's Football
anyway - we've already done the southampton thing... we have been right down the divisions and then cllimbed to a consistent top 8 premiership position...Gooner Girl wrote:Well quite! I'm not so sure...City are more likely to be in the final shake-up than Spurs...Annoyed Grunt wrote:GG's going to be a happy girl.....unless her underwear is on inside out again....

aye - but gooners are always more interested in finishing above spurs than anything else... I guess it'll be a sign that they really think they are contenders when they want spurs to beat Citeh and the other top four contenders...

Just seen Wesley Orange's red card from yesterday. Absolutely ridiculous. Amongst the worst decisions I've ever seen.

I know, madness. And Rooney's just kicked someone and got away with it.Bruce Rioja wrote:Just seen Wesley Orange's red card from yesterday. Absolutely ridiculous. Amongst the worst decisions I've ever seen.

They're on the right way round today, I just checked.Worthy4England wrote:I'm not so sure...City are more likely to be in the final shake-up than Spurs...Annoyed Grunt wrote:GG's going to be a happy girl.....unless her underwear is on inside out again....

A draw would have been the best result for us looking at it logically, but its always entertaining for spuds to take a hammering, even if as Worthy says, City are more likely to be fighting us for top 4 then Spurs. Fantastic last minute equaliser from Cardiff too. Not a bad day results wise.

Re: Tonight's Football
Only a Man Utd player (& perhaps Gerrard too) would have got away with that petulant kick. For him to get away with that compared to Browns sending off - ridiculousLeverEnd wrote:I know, madness.
