Re: Freedman out!
whats your point ? not sure what the similarities are. coyles loans tended to be bright young things from the big prem clubs. dougies tend to be old experienced champ'ship players. Neither can claim 100% success but coyles were certainly more exciting and the ones that were successful were great.a1 wrote:nah, even if he's shite , he's signing players from similar level teams. its not like when coyle would go "hmmm, i'll loan some kid from scottish division 2" or afobe or whatever. and then play him in the first xi.Bruce Rioja wrote:
Indeed. However, I for one don't harbour the slightest belief that Freedman's capable of doing that. More the opposite, in fact.
he's got his head screwed on right in that respect, that alone should save us from that.
needs to Sort the home form out, though.
different markets/ different times/ different circumstance but coyle seemed to continue his loan approach at wigan before his demise.
if your point is that the older experienced champship players route will safely secure our champship position (whether perma buys or loans) - I'll remind you we're in 18th position !

Re: Freedman out!
yeah, this. i'd panic more if he were doing what coyle did, in the signings sense.StaffsTrotter wrote:

not really looked exactly , but we 'only' need about 4 more points to match all of last seasons away form. the main prob is definetely the home form.
theyre 'good' players. he (or they) must be 'good' enough to get the team to get points while away.
if i was hearing alarming things like "the home coaches/trainers" , "the away coaches/trainers" (which i think i heard during sammy lee's era) , then i'd be uneasy, but it must be the same group of people. and AFAIK dougie and crew dont play themselves in the training sessions , like coyle apparantly used to. so theyre not treating it like a piss about.
somethings not right, but its probably not as wrong as it has been. we "should" be ok.

What you asking me for? I've not called for him to be replaced.thebish wrote:and if his replacement were to take us down? what then?CrazyHorse wrote:And if the chancer takes us down in the meantime? What then?
But then you knew that already.

Re: Freedman out!
I would point out again that of the names you lot have listed I think we would be better of with Dougie, however I have suggested my own solution previously, which most of you were against so I think it is totally fair to say that our fans are undecided as to whether we still want Dougie as our manager. It will come down to Dougie and Gartside at the end of the day and it seems the majority of Bolton fans have realised as such and therefore don't boo at games like they did under Megson and Coyle.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
Re: Freedman out!
The position of those calling time on Freedman is a fairly safe one. Being that the average tenure of managers sacked by Championship clubs currently stands at 1.04 seasons, their wishes will no doubt soon be granted and folk will feel somehow vindicated.

Re: Freedman out!
I like most I suspect would be content or reasonably content to wait and see if duggie is a tactical rebuilding genius if we were comfortable mid table, mid season, we ain't and he's got to go.Enoch wrote:The position of those calling time on Freedman is a fairly safe one. Gartside fails again and should fall on his sword, doubt he'll be sacked, I'm begining to wonder what he's got on Eddie Davies?

Re: Freedman out!
Even though on the evidence at present he seems to be quite w@nk and he probably should be sacked, I don't dislike him and certainly not to the level of some other previous managers.

Has is sunk into your skull why people were against your choice or are you still going act like a troll with your suggestion?bwfcdan94 wrote:I would point out again that of the names you lot have listed I think we would be better of with Dougie, however I have suggested my own solution previously, which most of you were against so I think it is totally fair to say that our fans are undecided as to whether we still want Dougie as our manager. I'm sure if we went through the list of players we've got, both inherited and signed, most will have experienced something higher than "our level". Bearing in mind that "our level" is now closer to League One than The Premiership.

Re: Freedman out!
I didn't say we did. Jaffka (as you know, but we can waste terrabites of the internet if its necessary) was pointing out (as you'll see with the Baptiste example) where the players had played. In The Premiership.

I believe he is saying Beckford played for Everton at one time and therefore was once a Premiership player. Nobody asked me, so feel free to ignore this postthebish wrote:i don't believe we signed Beckford from Everton... you may be right - but I believe you are very wrong...
