I don't think we're going to be offering him a pittance, so lets not all worry too much for him.

Pretty sure he will still be earning more in a week than I do, so I'm not going to lose any sleep over his contract.

Confirmed by club as a loan to end of season, so he can't play against Leicester (but can face Blackpool in the FA Cup).

sorry chaps I'm going to swim against the tide here and be decidely underwhelmed. paying good wages on another central midfielder, who is 30 something, will be played out of position on the wing to accomodate him in the side and allows dougie to continue his bingo selection routine is not my idea of good business.

I'll reserve the right to make a full judgement on transfer business at the end of the window to see whether higher priority issues have been addressed

He is cheap and wants to come, so I'm guessing that ticks both boxes.

But I thought he'd been one of our better performers over the past two months from what I'd heard? Those that went to those games what is your view?

Hopefully we can get some good games out of him for the 2nd half of the season while he's playing for his contract and then in the Summer closely assess whether to give him one given that he's over 30.

He has been our best midfielder this season IMO. Very good business in my eyes.

Perfect for this league and we need more like him in the side.

Great news. The type of player we need if we are going to make the play-offs to compliment our tippy-tappy midfielders.

all about opinions chris. I was underwhelmed when we signed spearing permanently, whilst everyone else said he was the second coming

Maybe we should try to loan medo/spearing/pratley out to fund the wages. Bear in mind Mark Davies is back.

I like Danns, he's a trier and doesn't know when beaten. So happy enough.

It might not sound like much but this season he is the clubs second highest scoring midfielder. Moritz the highest.

Reserve the right to judge but getting goals is what wins games and winning games is what we need.

It's been his 2nd coming that's been the problem.
I'm really pleased to have Danns back, even when he was rusty at the start I liked his approach. I just hope it's not at the expense of more vital positions, but I doubt it. I imagine there will be a loan lined up for Vela and I'd ship out at least one other midfielder as well if possible.

Is Vela available? I thought he was still injured? And if he isn't, why don't we just play him?

Was on the bench on Sat. We're not short of midfielders right now though. DF already suggested he's looking to loan him.

Was on the bench this week. From what the current manager said a couple of months ago he needs special individual coaching, to learn to run differently (yep, he really did say that, his great medical team worked out that he ran wrongly and so exposed himself to injury) and maybe go out on loan (where, doubtless, he won't get that individual coaching).
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

So our youngsters aren't good enough because they don't run right. Fantastic.

I believe the children are our future....

he has got quite an injury record, hasn't he, vela? maybe there's summat in it... runners do (I'm told) work on their gait to avoid injury...

Piss-taking aside, muscle imbalances do affect the way you move and lead to injury. I know this from painful personal experience and have gone through a similar process as a runner.
He did the same with Mills last season and that has worked out very well.

Surely if he's on the bench, he's considered fit to play though?
