I imagine you may have visited more old folk than I bish in your official capacity so I could easily accept that if you think more common! I say it as I've just seen it with the phones a few times & know through my company we do quite a bit of internal wiring for such cases (less so now with the wireless tech)thebish wrote:surely it's more normal for them to have a panic button thing around their neck?Athers wrote:Old people have a phone in every room in case they have a fall or something...

oh - i'm sure people must do that... problem is - if you've had a fall and broken your hip - you're not going to get to the phone even if it is in the same room - unless you've had the foresight to put it in the middle of the floor... but, then, if you have - the chances are that you will trip over it!Athers wrote:I imagine you may have visited more old folk than I bish in your official capacity so I could easily accept that if you think more common! My 97 year old Gran has those pull cord alarm things in every room in her flat. Problem is, one numpty grandson keeps pulling the one in the bathroom thinking it's the lightthebish wrote:oh - i'm sure people must do that... problem is - if you've had a fall and broken your hip - you're not going to get to the phone even if it is in the same room - unless you've had the foresight to put it in the middle of the floor... but, then, if you have - the chances are that you will trip over it!Athers wrote:I imagine you may have visited more old folk than I bish in your official capacity so I could easily accept that if you think more common! Result. Happiness abounds in the Spotty household. Missus Spotty is happiness personified, strolling around room to room speaking on new phone to mother-in-hell Spotty. Spotty himself is basking in the glow, but at a safe remove in't pub. And all because Mrs Spotty pointed out we never have the TV and CD on at the same time, therefore freeing up a space on the overcrowded electric socket. Yay...

I hope you remembered to fully charge the battery without interruption for 24 hours. Or perhaps your batteries don't require this.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Result. Steve Marriott, guitar and vocal God via the Small Faces and Humble Pie, played both Oliver and The Artful Dodger in Lionel Bart's original 1960 stage production of "Oliver".
It's his voice you will think of when you here the Artful Dodger tunes "Consider Yourself" and "I'd Do Anything".
Your welcome.

I know, really chuffed with it...at least £100 less than last year. I could probably get it cheaper where I work, but can't be overly arsed switching......clapton is god wrote:Thats not too shabby in this day and age.
