And stop Nobby getting suspended, their whole game plan is long to Carrol knocked down to Nobby. I wonder if they will play into the feet of this 8ft giant, fat chance! Personally I never got all the hype with Lescott and Jagielka, Jagielka is an "Anchorman" not a centre half.Prufrock wrote:They'll be fine if they get Carroll fit. They took a huge eggs-in-one-basket gamble which spectacularly failed to pay off, but get him fit and get people back from injury and they've got enough.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

He's also after some 8ft foreigner who sounds like the new Kevin Francis, if he's not careful opposition managers might guess his gameplan.
You forgot Birmingham being relegated aswell

Birmingham from the prem
Wolves from the prem
Wolves from the championship
West ham from the prem?

We can only hope he will make it 4

I do think West Ham will stay up, as Pru says get Carroll fit and instantly they have a better chance (albeit an always injured, hugely overpaid for chance, but still.....).
Re: West Ham are complete failures! Let's all laugh at 'em!
hmmm - not so sure... we all know that it's not a given that a long-term injured player always slots instantly back into his previous form...

feck them, feck their board, feck their manager.
Was anybody surprised? He throws in the towel when he's playing a 'big team'. Except for Arsenal, he always has. Probably thinks it's more important to be pally with their managers and subsequently their agents, than gaining points.
The guys a crook and a c*nt to boot

There's a second leg yet. It's not over till it's over.

I bet that Thomas Hitzlsperger's trying to keep it quiet that he's played for them.

The last time the Germans were in the news this much was 1939.

The bold bit, no because at home at least, Man City are easily the best team in England. Easily. And West Ham are a poor side.boltonboris wrote:feck them, feck their board, feck their manager.

As for the rest, I'm not totally sure about that I was at Old Trafford two years in a row....
As for the last line definitely a c*nt. Did anyone see his interview post match where they asked him about the West Ham fans chanting abuse at him last night? Basically he laughed and said "I knew you'd ask me that first you've just won me £150". Which might be an ok if delivered correctly answer but it came across as arrogant and dismissive and overly smug.
The reason Allardyce has got nowhere in his career is primarily down to how he presents himself. He did a job that was so good here that he should in all fairness earn more respect in football. But you can't go into interviews in the manner he does without having more to back yourself up. He lacks the charisma of Mourinho to get away with being a d!ck.
I mean look at Hodgson, hardly a massive managerial success overall, but he's been solid and presents himself as a lovable old English gent.
It does get you places trying not to be a d!ck.

I did venture onto KUMB last night and the posts, even late in, were arriving faster than I was reading them.
There's a thread titled "Allardyce, stick or twist ?". So far, despite him having had his detractors since arrival, there has always been a majority who give him reluctant respect and who see his style as being not necessarily pretty but effective in the circumstances. A pragmatic support.
The two results this week seem to have eroded that to barely a mutter. I know that angry people are louder than satisfied ones but from there the only backing he gets are from those who say they can't afford to bin him ( £4m seems to be the estimated cost) and the "who would you replace him with" argument. All very familiar.
One did point out that the last 3 clubs to lose him were all relegated promptly afterwards.
I think the Dave's are still keen to keep him but their options are narrowing. He's not going to resign with £4m or whatever available if he's binned.
One bright ray of hope was that a regularly mentioned alternative was Paulo di Canio.
Truly, the gift which keeps giving.

West Ham fans were chanting Di Canio's name last night I think. Along with "F Off Sam Allardyce..."bobo the clown wrote:I did venture onto KUMB last night and the posts, even late in, were arriving faster than I was reading them.
