No wonder we're skint when we're throwing money around on contracts, signing on fees etc etc and get rid/don't use them.

According to Nixon, he couldn't settle and wanted to stay in Scotland. I'm not sure he spent one night here because he was loaned out as soon as he signed for us.

I just hope we have managed to include a sell-on clause in his contract just in case he come good. He is still only 19 after all.

how much did we spend on the lad? anyone know?

if it wasn't very much - then surely all we have here is "young kid doesn't turn out as hoped for various reasons - shock"

Once you add in all the ancillary costs I'm sure it'll come to a hundred k or two. Maybe not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things, but we seem to have a habit of employing players and not using them. This particular lad was homesick and didn't want to come, so we pulled out. Not long after we sign him, but he's homesick so we loan him straight to Partick, then cancel his contract. Hardly surprising it didn't work out.

I thought he was a free agent so perhaps just a signing on fee and wages (or part of his salary with a contribution from Partick Thistle).

I'd have sacked the pr*ck as soon as he saw fit to boot somebody in the face after decking him.

Glad he's gone. Don't care how much he cost us

Didn't he win 'worst trainer of the week' as well? That might be a joke thing to be fair, but overall the impression isn't good. He'll probably be out of the game, fighting down his local pub and 3 stone overweight by 30!

DF in BN:

“I’m down to bare bones [up front] but that’s fine by me as long as I have got bones and I can get the bones out there. I will try and recruit. It's not a lack of trying but it has to be at the right deal."

Same piece (Sorry, link here - naughty, DSB) quoth:
With Craig Davies still short of fitness, Freedman could have just one option up front for next weekend game against Reading in David Ngog.
Cue DF insisting Moritz is a striker. Besides, we can play 4-2-3-1 away, right?

(But yes, we need a striker.)

He's not even getting games at the Valley !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Dougie was considering it last month:
“I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he’s a little bit frustrated that he’s not in their team. If that option became available then I’d certainly consider it. Marvin needs to play. He’s at Charlton now and if someone came back in for him now then I’d have a look at it – I’m sure Marvin would too. But there hasn’t been anything just yet.

He came to the club and never played, never got a run. That was hard on him. I gave him one or two games but he didn’t show on a regular basis what I thought he showed at Watford. I’ve told him he’s got to work at it because he is only young. It’s a huge plus for us that he doesn’t play [against us on loan for Charlton] because he genuinely has got goals in him.

It's a shame we don't have anyone in the developmental squad scoring for fun.

It will right as N'Gog will start leathering them in for fun, so he gets some attention for his free transfer at the end of the season.

Good news, foreign signings are far more exciting than homegrown talent.

Hopefully this one will work out.

Times this you'd wonder why Eaves is on loan or why Zach Clough isn't getting a look in.

All part of Dougie's long-term behind-the-scenes plan. Results can be disregarded until 2017.
