He's from Glasgow isn't he? (for the record I'm making the drinky-drinky sign here)*

Maybe DF is clearing decks before imminent arrivals?

I can't work out the Wylde one though.

He was playing regularly (38 games), aged about 19 or 20, at Rangers. Joke as we may about "pub league" etc. that's not a poor level. He joined us & that stupid UEFA delay but then nothing. Absolutely nothing with us, 4 games on loan at Bury and then got a 3 year deal at Aberdeen which they've pulled after 6 months and only 8 games.

What's gone wrong with him ?
15000 reasons a week for you enough?

So we'll still probably be hearing the same excuse next season then, given that the majority of our squad's contracts don't run out this summer?

Knight, Mears and probably Chris Eagles will leave on frees.

I can see us trying to get rid off Andrews and Sordell as well.

If we wanted rid of them, why don't we do it now then?

No one else seems to want them ? Looks like Sordell doesn't have a future here and Dougie doesn't seem to rate Andrews.

Indeed. So why would that change in, say, September this year?

Of that lot I'd quite like to see Danns sign ... but would he ?
Lukas is doing OK, but let's not get over-excited.
Eagles, well yes ... but his salary will plummet and I don't see it.
Holden, discussed elsewhere. We simply have to on some form of pay-by-play basis.
Moritz. Yes ... yes I would, but is he ever fit and would he for what we can offer by next year. Plus, is he not a Dougie man and would he stay if DF is binned (same for Danns I guess).

Mears, I remain of the view he could offer something but it's not going to happen, is it ?

We'd still have to pay up their wages for the entire period for which they're contracted. Shifting folk out on loan means that we get to share the cost.

Indeed. so still the same excuses then? As from that list, all I can discern is Zat Knight (made club captain by dougie) Chris Eagles (more smoke blown up arseisms than you could shake a stick at) and Tyrone "where the f*ck is he?" Mears. Its hardly going to alleviate the massive problems that supposedly lie at the heart of our demise, is it?

Danns was signed on loan (for the rest of his Leicester contract) "with a view to a permanent move". I'd imagine something could be sorted, assuming we stay up.

Juke on his future, quoted in the Middlesbrough Gazette:
At the minute I just want to have a strong end to the season and then re-assess things in the summer. I’ve got this year and two more after it on my contract at Boro but I think I’ve walked into a really good changing room of boys here, there is a togetherness and a willingness to get out of the situation we’re in, so at the moment I want to be a part of that.

I’m obviously very happy to be here and very excited, so hopefully things will work out for both myself and the club. One thing is that I’ll always give my all on the pitch. I’m a hard-working striker who can hopefully score a few goals for the team.

I don’t think Bolton are far away from being a very good team. I knew the quality of the players in that dressing room from having played against them. That hasn’t changed now that I have played with them as well. This is an unforgiving league and it’s about learning when to play the dirty side of it, playing percentages, but I’m still surprised to see Bolton down there.

^^ Interesting from Lukas. You'd expect positive remarks from the players, but that is good to read nonetheless.

^^^ Player not getting a game for his club, in 'talking up the club that's prepared to give him a chance for a game' shocker.

I've been working in M'bro for a few months and the word from their fans is that he's injury prone and generally not very good (hence he's not getting a game for them). I hope they're wrong.
Hope is what keeps us going.

He is doing alright so far avoiding injuries. He better had as well or we won't have any strikers.

Mason still nit signed?
