just so I can keep up with the party line, does this mean we don't need players experienced in the dark arts of the english championship to get us out of our current hole ?

Whoever mentioned that one of Dougie's positives was that he got Nixon less stories clearly jinxed it, one less good point about Douglas
Think this could be a bit of selective leakage by the club.

Let the fans know that we're shopping. May appease some.

N'Gog, looks as though he's got talent to burn.

Sadly, it appears that's what he's intent on doing.

Must have a few bob though!

Fron Burnden Aces..
Bolton boss Dougie Freedman has confirmed the club are in talks with Swansea City over a loan deal for David Ngog.

Reports on Wednesday suggested the Swans were interested in taking the former Liverpool forward to the Liberty Stadium, with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the campaign - when the player's contract expires.

Speaking on Thursday afternoon, Freedman revealed these rumours were true and that chairman Phil Gartside was in negotiations with the Premier League side to see if a deal could be struck.

"Swansea have enquired about his availability," Freedman told The Bolton News. "The chairman is discussing the possibility right now.

"Where the deal is at I can't say right now because the call only came in last night but we have discussed with David the possibility.

"But again, it's possibilities. I have been here too many times - both incoming and outgoing - to regard it as anything else but talk."

Ngog has scored three goals in his last four appearances for Bolton, but his overall record isn't quite so good - with just 16 goals in 90 games since a £4million move from Liverpool in the summer of 2011.

Cheers, Chief. It's like that fish butty that they sell in McDonalds, you simply feel obliged to have a crack at some sort of pronunciation.

Well that's a good one, the keeper known as hologram until the end of the season. Hope that we don't have to use him.

These deals like with N'Gog, anyone know why they're so often loans with a view rather than free signings with a six month contract?

I'm guessing they must depend on clauses in N'Gog's BWFC contract like stuff to do with loyalty bonuses, but they seem odd. He's out of contract!

I hope he goes, though it does leave us short. Pissed Craig Davies can't be any worse though. Can't remember a BWFC I've disliked so much. Even Knight, bless him, I don't dislike.

Tom Eaves checks his phone, makes sure it's charged, checks the ringer's on, sighs and sits back down...
