What's his tip for Manchester United?Seamus' good leg wrote:Additional kiss of death - Lawro has tipped us for a cup shock
Strangely - I miss the days of his pointless ramblings that used to involve us - won't get them regularly now for quite a while now I guess.

Maybe he thinks we're going to break the record for the most conceded goals in an FA Cup match.Seamus' good leg wrote:Additional kiss of death - Lawro has tipped us for a cup shock

I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.
May the bridges I burn light your way

Re: Giant Killing on the Cards? (Cardiff Thread)
i've got a good feeling about today.
I hope he fields exactly the same team as last week to face our fans and to give them a chance to put in a performance to kind of redeem themselves, setting us up nicely for our league game next week.
2-1 us. Moritz (if hes fit and plays) and mills
COYW!!!!!!

Win, lose or draw, it's the same meal here tonight. Guinness casserole me thinks.

Can I ask what is the point in a slow cooker?Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.

it cooks the meat slowly (obviously) making it a hell of a lot more tender and juicier. Its the only way a casserole should be cooked IMObwfcdan94 wrote:Can I ask what is the point in a slow cooker?Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.

You put stuff in it. It cooks while you do other stuff. Fairly simple concept.bwfcdan94 wrote:Can I ask what is the point in a slow cooker?Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.

Well, it means that I can prepare a stew or a casserole, go to the match and come home to a cooked meal. It also cooks meat very slowly, obviously, thus leaving it wonderfully tender.bwfcdan94 wrote:Can I ask what is the point in a slow cooker?Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.
Go and buy one (they're only about £15) and discover for yourself.

I have just whacked a delicious-smelling spicy white been and sweet potato with spring greens stew-type thing into the slow cooker - taking the trouble to use fresh chillies, fresh grated ginger - bay leaves and all the proper gubbins...Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.
only for the missus to announce that she's buggering off out for her tea at some nearby pub with a bunch of other folk!
had I known that - me and the one remaining sprog who is currently at home would have just gone to the chippie!!

Setting off in about 40 minutes. It's dark, cold and rainy. FA Cup weather.
I hope there's more than 5000 there!

Get it in the freezer and get down the chippy, man.thebish wrote:I have just whacked a delicious-smelling spicy white been and sweet potato with spring greens stew-type thing into the slow cooker - taking the trouble to use fresh chillies, fresh grated ginger - bay leaves and all the proper gubbins...Bruce Rioja wrote:I've taken out the insurance of putting a sausage casserole on in the slow cooker for a comestible hug when I get home - cold, miserable and defeated.

Sounds delicious - I keep meaning to make a sausage casserole with Quorn sausages as per your recco. Anyway - the sky's just darkened here, the wind's got up and it's pissing it down, so that's cold, wet and miserable boxes ticked. Now for the defeat.
EDIT: Add thunder and lightning to the aforementioned conditions.

i'll take the radio out in the middle of the back garden - sit in the flooded section of the lawn and not sing - just to recreate the magic cup atmosphere!
