Re: Separate thread to whine about *ManFlu
Same for me. I set off on Monday for a walking holiday in the Lakes and I'm coughing like a good un and full of a cold. No fever with it (yet) though so hopefully I'll be fit'ish for the start. Lets hope its as good an outcome as yours was.Jakerbeef wrote:King-size (like the tissue) dose of manflu.
Went on holiday for a week.......
Good holiday in the end though.
Spotty - that sounds horrendous! Get well soon lad.
Re: Separate thread to whine about *ManFlu
That's good however the state of your lungs does not sound great, my sister had a chest infection a few ears ago combined with asthma can be very serious hope you get wet well soon, lots of rest and you should be out of there sooner then you think.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Very clean, very modern hospital. No bugs here thankfully, apart from the little nuggets infesting my lungs and other inner parts.Montreal Wanderer wrote:They've got you in hospital for over a week! Good lord. Good thing it is not over here - you'd get C-Difficile like my mrs and she was only in for a day. Well, drink plenty of fluids - beer if they have it.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Supposed to be out of hospital today, but won't be going until the 11th now, groooooan

I've caught the lurgy off the Mrs It's not so much as man flu as woman flu. I constantly need to sit down and feel light headed/dizzy. No other symptoms

Must be that woman-flu the wife's got. Saturday she didn't feel good (neither did I actually). It was the daughter's birthday and she felt so bad that we weren't going for her birthday meal. Wife got an attack of guilt Saturday tea-time and had a hot bath and we turned out. Home by eleven and she went straight to bed.
Sunday she spent most of in bed full of a cold then started with earache. Monday she'd lost her voice and this carried on Tuesday. Yesterday her voice came back but she spent almost all of three days in bed. Today she started with sickness and diaoreagh(sp?) and is back in bed. Totally unlike her to do that but she's really rough. Wouldn't have the doctor out because she's going to a well-woman clinic on Saturday ( the irony) and doesn't want to miss it? Don't know what virus she's got but it sure is a corker.

once she's recovered obviously. Until then she resides in lockdown in an airtight compartment and fed on pellets by remote control.thebish wrote:not sure i'd want a diarrhoeaitic woman cooking my tea...

Woman flu is so last year.

Wife isn't a stay in bed type at all, but last week she spent four days there and still isn't right. I've had a week of feeling like shxt, headaches, blocked up nose and a cough, shivers and sneezing. Sure haven't felt like dog-walking some days, but you can't tell him that. Come walk time he's there, regular as clockwork.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Second day confined to bed, feel like absolute shite......

Get some zinc tablets down you, and then make yourself an incredibly hot curry. Then have a hot toddy tonight. Be right as rain in the morning.
