Freddy Adu? I remember reading an article about Adu when he was only 13 and how he was going to be a better than Pele. Didn't quite work out like that. To much too young.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

In my opinion MD's greatest attribute is when he has the ball at his feet driving forward at defenders from the hole behind the striker.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:but I still think MD's short passing could be well employed there, especially in a 4-2-3-1 with lots of options for him to pass to.
For me, whenever he's played back there he looks a little lost, offers little protection defensively (not through a lack of trying, more due to a lack of understanding) and I don't think he's as good a passer as is made out.
He seems to fall into the classic mould of an English number 10 who struggles to fit in a 4-4-2 system. Let's not forget our best run in our relegation season came with him playing in front of Reo-Coker and Muamba until Coyle changed things for Wigan in his infinite wisdom.
I'd be interested to know other people's thoughts on this.

I admit he's ok at doing that, but anything else, useless.Loyal White wrote:In my opinion MD's greatest attribute is when he has the ball at his feet driving forward at defenders from the hole behind the striker.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:but I still think MD's short passing could be well employed there, especially in a 4-2-3-1 with lots of options for him to pass to.

Doesn't track back, hangs around the centre circle waiting for the ball, isn't a goalscoring threat and like you rightly say, looks lost in general.
Yet people think he's the new Pele.
On the plus side, he's better than Pratley, who IS shite.
What a hero, What a man...... Ooooh, what a bad foul...

This. I'd happily put Spearing in where Danns is and move Danns out wide, if that was required too.boltonboris wrote:For me it'd be

You remind me of the bloke who sits next to me AW. He Slags Pratley off before the bloke even kicks the ball. Priestley works hard for the team, plays wherever he's asked and usually finds a white shirt. He's unspectacular, but for me, decent enough at this level. I certainly wish another half dozen in the squad had his attitude and work ethic.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Wigan are still interested in Dawson and their better league position puts them ahead of us to sign himjaffka wrote:Wigan have signed Markus Holgersson, who is a defender. At 6'3 sounds like he is a centre half but apparently he also can play at right back.

Hopefully they aren't interested in Dawson any longer and he will come when the loan window opens.

You think he has access to a league table?bobo the clown wrote:maybe it's not just the fans who can see the situation.

If he has, then he doesn't belong at Bolton as apparently league tables are no longer important.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:You think he has access to a league table?bobo the clown wrote:maybe it's not just the fans who can see the situation.

The Bolton News say we can't sign him because we don't have the "funds".bobo the clown wrote:maybe it's not just the fans who can see the situation.
Indeed last week they ran a story saying Dawson wanted to come here but the money wasn't available unless we could shift another of our big earners.....

And what the exploding tits do we do next year if we can't find a Brighton to take Keith Andrews off our hands?

3 cheers for Darren! He is clueless Bob. He's a tremendous athlete but by god he's a bad footballer.Bijou Bob wrote:You remind me of the bloke who sits next to me AW. Mavies is a good footballer with no application whereas Pratley is all application with no talent.
I don't expect him to score 30 yarders and do backflips everytime he gets the ball but he offers nothing.
You see so many decent players who play in this league who can do all that and still have an end result.
He does seem a decent lad and he gives 100%, he's just nowhere near good enough.
So ner ner ner to you.
