Completely correct ... Jan 2013.Peter Thompson wrote:I thought Medo was also a Freedman signing

I've altered that now. So 5 of the 7 subs are his ... and he feels his squad don't have the right qualities.
Amazing.

Yes - deluded schoolboy Freedman says the players aren't up to it....but he still obviously thinks that they are better than the players who he signed including his present to the Bolton fans 'Moritz'bobo the clown wrote:Completely correct ... More shameful however is that the decision makers at the club still allow this shambles to continue week after week, with total disregard for the long suffering fans (obviously those that actually still pay to sit through that shit every week)
Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
I'm starting to despair now. This reminded me of Megson's last game in charge (was it Hull?) where we were winning 2-0. Then the genius decided to go defensive and hang onto our lead. Except that everybody else in the stadium knew what was coming.
So... today we played well in the first half. Not brilliantly, but we were pressuring Bournemouth, and got two. Their first goal was a bit of a freak - looked to me like the Bolton players (and the crowd) expected the referee to blow, as they had a player down who looked lifeless, but hey ho, you play to the whistle.
Even in the 2nd half, we were growing in confidence, until..... Davies gets hauled off for Medo. And it was the Megson deja vue. You knew what the outcome would be.
Fair enough if Davies was injured or tired, there was a great replacement in Moritz waiting on the bench. But this wasn't about an injury, it was a tactical switch, reverting back to 2 holding midfielders instead of the one. When we know it just doesn't work (no idea why, but it just doesn't).
We're just shooting ourselves in the foot EVERY week.

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
Of the outfield subs today, five are midfielders and the other a novice defender. If our players don't have the right qualities then where exactly is the competition for these poor quality defenders and attackers? He hasn't a fecking clue what he's doing.bobo the clown wrote:Completely correct ... Jan 2013.Peter Thompson wrote:I thought Medo was also a Freedman signing

He'd probably sign the two in the middle.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
According to the man (listen to the interview) he thought Mavies went on a run and didn't recover as well as DF would hope/expect and he doesn't want to take risks with him given his history.wonka wrote:Fair enough if Davies was injured or tired, there was a great replacement in Moritz waiting on the bench. Which, if true, may hold some water. However, he then replaced him with Medo, not Moritz.
So, in my view, EVEN IF the reason is true, he took the opportunity and made a decision to go defensive. With 35 minutes left. He's a tit.

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
That today was the last straw for me. Over this season Ive convinced myself that I know what DF has planned and how he wants the club to stabilise then progress. Today, the cnut has proved me wrong and I fully accept he had me fooled. For me the points that did this are :
1. Not playing Danns, who has been our best player for the last few weeks.
2. Only playing 1 upfront yet again and I know we're limited for strikers but atleast play a proper attacking midfielder behind him in Moritz and not a central mid like Trotter.
3. Feckin Eagles.... nothing more to add to this one.
4. when 2-0 up blatently telling the team to drop deeper and let a shaken Bournemouth come on to us and not close them down.
5. Corners - yeah lets have a centre back take them and just float them across hoping Mills can head it back across goal and fingers crossed something will happen. No feckin variation at all.
6. Free-kicks- bournemouth stood over the ball on all of them and stopped us taking quick ones. When they did that we were feckin clueless as to what to do next.
7. Feckin so-called wingers, who when playing 1 upfront should be running their arse off to get into the box to offer support to the striker but no, ours just jog and then stop at the edge of the box.
8. Freedmans Feckin interview on GMR. He's a feckin second hand car salesman. Stop using the same feckin excuses and saying its player attitude. If thats true then any other manager would drop these players and
not still pick them week-in week-out.
Feck Off Freedman!!! Youre a prick and youre killing my club.....and take Gartside with you as yet again he left his seat 10mins before the final whistle!!!!

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
thought we did well to get a point out of that. They were a decent team who moved the ball well and had a good shape and purpose to their play - good job they didn't get more bodies in the box on a few occasions.
I suppose thats what you get though for all the money they've spent and having an old experienced manager
thought juko had a good game and took his goal well, although I didnt think we were playing knock it up to the big man style anymore !?

Let's not get carried away here guys. Everybody saying we are lucky to get a draw after leading 2 - 0. Are you all on crack!? This wasn't Real Madrid we were playing at home, but the mighty Bournemouth!! ( And all apologies to any Cherries fans looking in). FFS; We are 2 - 0 up with the opposition rocking. They aren't used to this, after never losing to a team below them this season. They must have been confused, shocked, wondering what the hell was happening to them. Thinking 'well, this is one game we aren't going to get anything from'.....................Then our master tactician made several bold moves, to allow the opposition a fairly decent chance of beating us at home. (Again). As he has in previous games, he almost snatched defeat from certain victory. Dougie, you are a charlatan c*nt, and I claim my £5.00.....................Now Fvck off before you cause any more damage to my beloved Bolton Wanderers

Re: The Bourne(mouth) Ultimatum
OK after sleeping off a hangover and another depressing home draw, a few thoughts on today. Nothing really to add about our clueless manager, all been said.
Liked the look of Jutkiewicz, thought he had a really good game, but can't see him scoring much the way he plays. Excellent finish and some great work outside the box where he put balls in to.... no-one. Beckford needs to play alongside him because we haven't got midfielders who take up positions often enough to make up for the lack of a 2nd striker. Mark Davies runs from deep with the ball. Moritz can play anywhere across midfield or up front and improve the team. Needs to be starting every home game, not much of a present otherwise. As does Danns I think, though I don't mind him resting and giving Trotter a chance with a game on Tuesday. He was OK, need to see more of him really.
Their first goal was a strange one. Excellent strike and i'd love to see that lad in our team. Everyone (including our defence) was looking and the dead bloke in midfield and he took full advantage. wasn't sure it stood at first, but thought we could push on again and get another. Dougie obviously thought differently.
Bournemouth looked good, used the ball well and played around us a lot. Got behind Bap a few times but Mills and Knight looked good. Thought defensively they were there for the taking with a bit more pressure but their possession football kept the ball away from their defence for long periods.
Why was Ream taking the corners? Identical floating ones to the back post which never looked like getting us anything. They were whipping them in dangerously first half and wasn't at all surprised when they scored from one.

Agree with all this. And I also made the connection with what turned out to be Megson's final game. Though I think the crowd turned on Megson with more unanimity and ferocity than yesterday's. But the discontent can only grow unless an unlikely change occurs and when you lose the crowd you pretty soon lose the job.wonka wrote:I'm starting to despair now. Yep, I too had flashbacks to that Hull game. That substitution was the straw that broke my back – it was all so inevitable. He's got to go.
