Re: Freedman out!
Freedman: 3/12/12. "I learnt with 20 minutes to go we can't see the game out. We need to be able to play in a certain way to see the game out. I don't think players' mindsets are 'we can win 1-0,' so they need a bit of help and we'll try give them that help," So, Douglas, can you let us know, over a year on, just how that's coming along, Old Son? Only....well..... you know?!

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Re: Freedman out!
So, if I understand correctly, previously, we were losing games because we couldn't see them out; whereas today we secured a draw because we were able to see the game out. That's progress in my book!Bruce Rioja wrote:Pick the bones out of this then.bobo the clown wrote:I hope that's a direct and provable quote Bruce.Bruce Rioja wrote:Freedman: 3/12/12. * he was quoted correctly
* the BBC page hasn't been doctored
* the nuance is taken properly into account
Because there's really no proper evidence he says all these things he's accused of. None at all.
So bringing such, apparently clear, detail into play is just rabble rousing.

Peter Brough was a great radio ventriloquist....till they invented T.V, and then everybody realised he was actually rubbish. I'm sensing a connection somewhere. Dougie didn't even play so well on the wireless today.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: Freedman out!
Every wank performance, every incompetent tactical change, every tinkered with line up, every shit filled post match interview, every pathetic attempt to avoid boos by bleating to the Evening News on a Friday or Saturday, every clueless pitch side get together with Lenny and Curtis just keeps eroding what little standing Freedman still has as a football manager.
Another few weeks of this shite is surely the end of his managerial career - if it hasn't ended already. If he resigns it just shows he couldn't cut it so his only chance is to get sacked quickly blame our financial situation and pick up the compo with at least the tatters of his reputation intact (if he ever had a reputation as a football manager Gartside). With a bit of luck he'll realise this and actively try to get fired signalling a tremendous up turn in form due to his total inability to do anything right. Clown.

The last game I went to was dire, I expect the next one will be too. I'm not saying Dougie isn't rubbish! All I'm saying is he's not rubbish because of his pre-match press conferences. I don't think he's ever annoyed me in the press like Megson or Coyle did at the end.
This whole PG thing is interesting. It could be that he's a glorified mouthpiece for ED. We can't exactly ask for ED to leave so we're assuming PG is hiring all these managers because of his own "research". He doesn't strike me as Chairman material so I'm assuming he's just there because he's ED's mate. We seem to go defensive/attacking/defensive when it comes to managers... so the next manager will be more attacking? Less defensive?

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Medo for Mark Davies? Not good. Not good at all. Wasn't there, but sounds like the latest straw to trouble the camel's back!

It was not a good change at all. But it did not change the course of the game, Bournemouth were already all over us.Bruce Rioja wrote:It was 'classic Megson', Pru.Prufrock wrote: Medo for Mark Davies? Not good. Not good at all. I disagree with a few on here in that I thought at 2-0 we were relatively comfortable. Sure Bournemouth had one great chance before we scored but overall I thought we were dominating possession and score 2 should be job done.
Then we concede a ridiculous goal where our players just stop immediately after going 2-0 up. And that just kills us and we end up not being able to pass a ball, not able to gain any meaningful foothold and it is all Bournemouth. We needed a change that would change the course of the game.
Freedman just picked the entirely wrong choice.

Re: Freedman out!
OK, quite separate, not nasty question .... what happens so that professional sportsmen who are all individually capable, much as we piss and moan, should mentally fold so rapidly at the merest hint of a set back ?
I can get the lack of confidence stuff, but to go from flowing, passing, moving to looking like they've stood on a land-mine within minutes is the symptom of something very weird.

It's probably something that happens everywhere when confidence is low. I mean we've seen that happen here for years.bobo the clown wrote:OK, quite separate, not nasty question .... what happens so that professional sportsmen who are all individually capable, much as we piss and moan, should mentally fold so rapidly at the merest hint of a set back ?

I suspect Iles summed it up on his twitter 'no leaders within the squad'.

At an individual level, it happens in all sports. Excellent golfers occasionally get the putting yips for example.BWFC_Insane wrote:It's probably something that happens everywhere when confidence is low. Folks used to criticize Nolan for gobbing it off at players, now we have some sort of fluffy fecking everybody's equal type arrangement, so when we concede, they all look at each other equally cluelessly.

FFS when are you going to stop defending Freedman?
Has anyone met BWFCi?
I'm begining to think he's bloody Gartside!
