His role is also do things like commercial activity. You know, getting sponsors in etc. How's that working out for him?

Remind me of our business performance for this year..

then say "Yeah, obviously, because we were relegated from the Premier League".

then ask yourself, who was it making the staffing decisions that contributed to this demise.

Whatever way you look at it, a football clubs bread and butter is what is happening on-field. Once that goes to shit, everything else around it goes to shit.

Apparently some of our players tweeted last night and then deleted them later.

Yeah I seen some of the tweets. Rob Hall tweeted something like "ermmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" followed by "Curtains" and then a picture with his hand over his face.

People got on his case and he replied saying something like "keep cussin me, I thrive off it!"

Some others like Joe Riley, Vela and Odelusi tweeted smiley faces at each other at the final whistle.

More confirmation that the players don't believe in him.

To me, it looked something personal between him, Odelusi and Vela about the temperature in Lostock (where apparently, Hall lives).

everybody took it that tweets about not wearing gloves etc and the breeze was obviously a thinly veiled swipe at the clubs' hierarchy .

That's rather vague, I'm assuming you didn't get to see them before deletion? Any idea if they were negative to the fans or Dougie? Would be interesting to get an insight into the mental state of the players. We've all suspected on here that DF lost the dressing room a while ago.
I didn't but it appears chrisc has. I don't do twitter.

Maybe he can give more details.

I was reading them on the bus on the way home..

It was all Sordell-esque and very clique-y. But I'm not sure it was about the football.

To be honest, I don't suppose it really matters whether they were or not at this stage. The manager has lost his grip at the club anyway, so he'd be powerless to deal with it.

smiley faces at full time, when we have lost

curtains and hand over face

Hall hand over face

I interpret that as the players being happy we have lost and Duggie is closer to being sacked.

We paid a sackload for Sordell'we paid cash for Cravies and both are now playing elsewhere at a cost to BWFC;whilst we can't buy a goal.If Dougie was this :great up+coming:manager:he would be nurturing them a bit like Dyche has with Vokes + ings. Instead he continually bemoans what happened here before the great man arrived to rid us of our deadwood. At least I:ll be able to walk it when we play Fleetwood away in the League!! Silver linings anyway.

There is a difference between operationally running an organisation and having the power to make key decisions independently.

Clearly Eddie Davies is ultimately going to make that decision.

Bottom line is Phil Gartside isn't signing the cheques!

Says Mark Iles.

The same Mark Iles who incidentally says that Dougie Freedman makes his team selections before the players have had chance to complete the full gestational cycle in the womb?

Clearly a highly reliable source.

And if we're going to continue with this fantasy, Phil Gartside left the appointment of one of our managers (when it was still his f*cking job ) to Mark Curtis. The hierarchy at this club are rapidly becoming a standing joke.

...which is your right to do. Whereas Boris, who saw it and understands Twitter, thinks otherwise. On this one, I'll side with Boris (having sighed at The Kids).

I'll say again: Freedman's done plenty wrong without worrying about nonsense. I'm much less bothered about kids' tweets than I am about our manager watching yet another game slip away from him, paralysed by indecision or puzzled by inertia.

So you think Gartside can sack Freedman without Eddie's consent? Is that what you're saying?
