5 chances for Mason already.

Fitting in nicely as a bolton player. Loads of chances no goals.

Problem for me is S&M generally trip over each other and render each other obsolete. I can't recall a single game where they've worked well together. Add in 2 non wingers and you've a lot of people in each other's way, though Danns seems OK there.
You may well be right, AT. Here's hoping that not having another central midfielder in front of them will give them more room to take it in turns getting forward. Unless Mason plays in the No.10 role some folk see as his best...
It would be nice to the think we'd have a winger to get crosses on to the big lad's head and the midfield to play in the little un.
Apart from long balls out of defence, crosses are the best way to turn over possession. Mind you, Moyes likes 'em :D
Worked for Sam

Would like some crosses with folk attacking them. Not every ball, but a few wouldn't go amiss

A sally from the visitors finished with a well-wide shot (thankfully). Keeper to keeper clearance and Medo sets Spearing off and they both set the commentator off. Mason again and.....Ream and M.d and an easy header gets collected by Almunia. Pratley gets the good words and....Luke...and cleared. We sound to be in the ascendency....ahem....right now but they have a dabble and M.D charges an effort down. They come at us and Medo hacks one down thirty out ....and....Pratley in trouble and Danns comes on.

I see Prats has picked up an injury and Danns is on. Just need one of the twins to get a pull and we could have the team out there we should have started with.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

That free kick now and......MD clears well but they have another do and Bogdan clears. Luke gets nothing after a challenge and back they come at us again. . They still have it and Medo gives one away and just misses a card. Ream getting the bad words now. And....free kick them and......side netting, goal kick us. Need to get one (some) of these chance. Free kick us now and.....Luke gets a head on but at the keeper. They break and....some to and fro before we attack again and....M.D and Ream loses it again before we charge and......loads of passing and possesion but....Almunia clears eventually.

"Cracking game" says the commentator as Wheater knocks it out for a corner them. And....headed clear by Spearing. They visit again and have a throw. "Hand ball" claim refused to them and...Bogdan and....back and forth before Danns gets a mention. Watford "grown into the game" says our reporter. Now Dans, and......Lukas was offside but we go back for a foul on Medo. And.........Ream.......Spearing? And.....it's 1-0 us......

Imagine what he'd do with a winger on there

"The big un" slid in on a low cross from Spearing and we have the first goal. Capitalise on it lads. They have a sally at us and the commentators have a chat amongst themselves before we move in again and...Baptiste and....Danns and....we have a corner off big Lukas. And.....it's cleared. Finishes up back with Bogdan and the ball goes back where it should be. Now Mills is fouled and we have another free kick and......now a throw....and....another throw. Cleared. M.D sets us off well and then gets fouled going forward. Free kick us and......Ream and.....Wheater nods it over the top as half-time looms.

He does sign some handy players, it's he tends to drop them when they do well. This I find confusing.

No chance of that now, mate, we're winning

More likely to see Knight on for Mason

Agreed. I think you've spotted his niche .... he's a talent spotter, a scout. Let's get his into that role !!
