Of course, your name is on that list with mine, along with no doubt many others. Not in any particular order eitherTANGODANCER wrote:Can I have it officially registered that I'm happy.jaffka wrote:I am very surprised at reading some of the posts on here after our win. I were over the moon yesterday. But cold light of day nothing has changed. He's still a prick, we're still 19th.

No, not you. I think we are alike in our summary of the situation.CrazyHorse wrote:Who me?jaffka wrote:I am very surprised at reading some of the posts on here after our win. Some people seem hell bent on confrontation.

It's the Internets, maaaan. People need to chill out!bobo the clown wrote:Or maybe by people who have a clue ???Prufrock wrote:.... Equally the call for wingers is only made by cretins.
Has anyone ever suggested you have an unfortunate and unnecessarily confrontational way with you ?
I still think you should get back to the fags. How's that going, btw ?
I'm offically happy too

Still off the fags.
We were a very narrow diamond yesterday. Allowed us to play the two up top without surrendering the centre of the pitch, but did mean we were painfully slow once Watford got behind the ball. Only minor negative in a very good performance, and IMO is a sacrifice that has to be made.
CH's point also registered that neither of that front two are ours like!

I was happy with both the performance (especially 2nd half), however, we have been here before the dawn of a new era etc. Typical that Mason would play well after being well and truly slagged off on this forum (myself included). Spearing had the best game of the season but would prefer him stay back and Medo go forward as I think he offers more that his defensive abilities. Bogdan was outstanding and I still think he will turn out to be a fantastic keeper he has the all round ability (are you listening Bobo?). Overall a good performance and a relaxing afternoon watching the football for a change.
I will be interesting to see if he sticks to this formation against a better team in Blackburn. I think a better team would isolate the front 2 forcing a more long ball approach instead of working through the middle. This would then rely on the likes of Davies running at the defence with the ball which he is capable of doing. DF has a habit of changing a winning formula hopefully he will leave well alone.
As a side note I notice Lawrence standing at the touchline a lot more yesterday, maybe he has actually asked for some help on match days?

Dad has got to the point where he sits in the WSL so was there yesterday right near the dugouts.
Firstly, Dougie talks to himself. A lot.
Secondly, my favourite moment of the day was Curtis Fleming striding purposefully to the edge of the technical area whilst they had a corner, shouting 'Lads, Lads', then sitting down. Maybe it was a code.
I've slagged Boggers off but he was top yesterday. Proper flawless understated keeping performance. Will need a few more of those before I'm convinced like!

I'm listening Piggy. As ever, I'm here to be proven wrong but I just don't see Boggers developing from a good shot-stopper to a top keeper. For me he lacks that ability to command his box, to organise his defenders and to claim a ball.
As said, I will happily eat my words. I just don't expect to have to.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The good news, is that Boggers appears to have stopped dropping the ball in the 6 yard box to the oppo's waiting striker.Prufrock wrote:Dad has got to the point where he sits in the WSL so was there yesterday right near the dugouts.

The bad news is, that's because it's usually in the net, first go.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would herald this as a dawn of a new era. The idea that Bolton will suddenly remember how to be a top half premiership team again is well gone, or should be. We are in for years and years of struggle. We just have to hope that we keep our heads above water during this time.Norpig wrote:I was happy with both the performance (especially 2nd half), however, we have been here before the dawn of a new era etc. Typical that Mason would play well after being well and truly slagged off on this forum (myself included). We should all enjoy days like yesterday IMO.

Exactly that. First class yesterday, but I'll need to see plenty more performances like that before I feel anything like comfortable with him int' nets.Prufrock wrote: I've slagged Boggers off but he was top yesterday. How ridiculous is this statement?BWFC_Insane wrote:If we'd lost you'd have hammered him for being too negative and playing no wingers.....SmokinFrazier wrote:Nice to see 4-4-2 working again.
If he'd have lost, we'd have crucified him no matter what he'd done. 4-4-2 has been crying out to be used. If he did, like he did, use it, but then instead of winning had lost, does it fxcking matter what negatives Smokin would have been concentrating on, not that you know what it is that he would have...

Correct-a-mundo: you stick with profligacy. It saddens the fxck out of me when the English languague is dismissed as only available for intellectual tossers. Why is it that "football fans" can only use a bastardised version of it...THTT wrote: Hah. Indeed. An FLS commentator used "profligate" when commenting on Blackpool's inability to take their chances against Birmingham yesterday.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Correct-a-mundo: you stick with profligacy.
