Nice to see a sloppy goal conceded in such comical fashion! I'm going to snag some plates if it stays like this.

Listening to talkshite and none of the outraged manure fans so far have local accents.

Same on R5 ... Tony from London who's aged 64 and has supported them for ever sounded like he was about to cry. And the guy from Preston was clearly very pissed.jaffka wrote:Listening to talkshite and none of the outraged manure fans so far have local accents.
Then lots of "get over yourselves" messages from fans welcoming them to the real World.
The general consensus was accurate enough though ... they have a good hakf dozen players who simply aren't good enough. In some cases "any more" in other cases "never were". I have to say that I agree with that assessment.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Tonight's Football
I'm not even sure it is wholly the case. I mean he left them with some rubbish that he'd bought, and Moyes has to work with.....Annoyed Grunt wrote:Pains me to say it, but yes......ChrisC wrote:United have become such a poor side under Moyes.. Was Fergie really that good?
I mean Fergie was a great manager, but I think towards the end he had so much weight and respect at the club so that the players just had to get on with things, there was no room for owt else.
When you have a top manager who has been there for such a long time it is almost an impossible job to follow them, unless you are left with a really great side and squad to work with, and even then it is hard.
I think some sort of slip was inevitable after Fergie went...

He left them with some rubbish did he? That'd be the rubbish that won the league less than a year ago.

Aye go through Bobo's list in the other thread and see how many of those players you'd pick in a premiership "best of squad".CrazyHorse wrote:He left them with some rubbish did he? That'd be the rubbish that won the league less than a year ago.
Fergie carried a top 6 squad to league champions on the back of the presence and ability he had.
But a lot of the players aren't really up to snuff and Man Utd fans were saying this even whilst winning the league.....
