Fantastic performance, probably the best since beating Hull at home last season, arguably the best since we dropped.

Not a single bad performance, and as close as you're gonna get to faultless. Special mention for Zat Knight, who's taken some shite recently (and deservedly so, in some respects), but he was great today.

We ran the show, and Rovers couldn't have complained had it been 5 or 6.

Quite possibly by accident, Dougie's struck upon a formation and system that works a treat. But if it carries on like this, nobody's gonna care whether it was by accident, by design or from the Fairy bloody Godmother. He's got some making up to do, but a few more games like this will do very nicely.

Oh, and we should be pulling out all the stops to keep Juke and Danns. They've been superb.

Very good team performance from the off. We dominated the ball for probably about the first 30 mins and grabbed a deserved lead. They could still have had one on the counter, but we'd have probably felt hard done by, justifiably so. Deserved the second just before the break.

Third goal was given by the assistant referee - bit of good positioning on his part, and Moritz finished it off with a peach. All 4 goals well worth a look, should anyone show them on the telly.

Performance wise, Mavies was excellent to start with but probably tired @ about 60 mins (not a surprise he covered a lot of ground), Danns, MoM for me, ran himself to a standstill - but plenty more than just running. Spearing and Medo played like we were hoping them to at the start of the season. Back 4 all had good games (generally - one back header from Knight @ 1-0 which dropped straight to their guy, through on goal). Couple of great saves from Boggers at 0-0 and 1-0.

Front 2, combined with Danns, Mavies, Baptiste and Ream getting forwards, worked well and at times terrified them. They couldn't have grumbled had we gone in at half time, 4-0 up. Deflection early on was heading in, but for a very good save, Mason had a couple of 1 on 1's, when he should have done better.

All round, top drawer. Happy Wanderer.

It's not an accident at all. It's the same wonky 4-4-2 diamond we played at the back end of last year. Why it's taken him this long to use it this year is another issue!

But for today, who cares :D!

Well, it wouldn't be like me to write-off 2/3rds of a season of abject shite and then go wooo-hooo now after two games .... yet, fair play, it was an excellent team performance. As said, not a poor performance at all, a great team effort and some exceptional input from Davies, Danns, Lukas, Wheater in particular.

The best since the Newcastle match 3 years ago in my view and certainly since we went down.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

We won't reach the play offs but we can ruin other teams chances of reaching them!

Just got back now.

Very pleased, everyone contributed to the win. They had a few chances but we totally outplayed and classed them, at times they looked to be frightened of the ball. If we scored more, they couldn't complain like the mason one on one in the first half.

The players in the huddle at the end showed they wanted this game.

Well done super whites.

We'll not have to focus on anything other than winning as many as possible. Other teams will be doing the same and, where we are now much depends, as ever, on what those others will be doing. It will be oh so easy to slide back down the ladder if we're not careful. As you say, we probably won't reach the play-offs unles something totally daft happens, and mid-table security is our likeliest target this year. It isn't just in our own hands now, the season's gone too far, but only winning will keep us focussed.

On the ball match reporting: Talksport has a headline of Bolton putting Blackburn to the sword, followed by a picture with Beckford and N'gog in it. :|

just back - fan bloody tastic performance. Thought they all played well but special shout for ZK and Danns.

2 up front, ball sticking there, movement, sharp passing and tackling and pressing the bleedin ball. All the things we've not seen all season. We do have the players - so frustrating how this season has panned out !

A result and performance like that makes me think what could have been in the penny had dropped earlier in the season. That sort of showing is why people were talking nonsense when they derided our players and wrote them off as not being Championship standard. The quality is there now, like it has been throughout the season.

It's clear from where we are in the league that we have massively underperformed and that the manager is very lucky to have a very patient board.

This result and the performance was fantastic. Let's just focus on that for now.

The difference is the quality of the front two. Clearly. We didn't have that earlier in the season. The key is Jutkiewicz. Take him out and we are a different team.
