Pity. It was a very good save, I think still at 0-0, as was the one when Knight back headed it straight through to Rhodes, in on goal.
Was that one shown on the highlights?

Good safe hands from their free kick near the end.

Awesome win. I was all set to go for this until I learned I had to work. Disappointed to miss it, but a very good performance from the lads. It makes me wonder how we're going to use Moritz for the rest of the season. He's started 5 times, and scored 6 goals. He's clearly quality, but some say he can't start alongside Mavies. What do we do? Are we guilty of criminally underusing him? How can we rectify that? Will we give him a new contract?

"It is a truth universally acknowleged" (thank you Jane Austen) that a sporting contest between two neighbouring towns is classed as a "local Derby". It isn't really us that say it, just the media and neutrals. Blackburn can't have that, they prefer Burnley, a town almost exactly the same distance away as us, as such. Fine by us, so they didn't lose a local derby 4-0, they lost to their neighbours 4-0. Call it what you will, it changes naught. Yesterday they were getting the "Duraglit" out ready to polish a trophy, today it's the hankerchiefs. Should they lose what they accept as a "real" local derby next week it'll most likely be the bedsheets that come out. Meanwhile, we'll just get ready for a war of the roses.

Great quote from the Blackburn forum. "I'm not surprised they scored with a header, we have no height in defence" .............Medo's head was at knee level when he scored...

Good game, good game. Their manager did say "Local derby" at one stage so he knows he was thumped properly. On a more dour note, todays ladies' game against Derby has been called off because of the weather. Those tears must have really made the pitch wet. 8)

Happy for us to be last on The Football League Show

It means our game isn't important to the relegation battle

Fantastic performance. Fluid, energetic and real quality. They couldn't live with us especially the first hour. Davies and Danns waltzed through them every time, to the point of their full backs looking like broken men. Everybody was coming across to have a rinse of that Olsson who was looking hopefully at the bench every 5 minutes.

Strikers played further apart than I though they would, so didn't interact, but that was obviously something we used to open up spaces in the back 4. It worked a dream. Should've been 6. Could've been 8.

Great performance and s shape we MUST persist with.

The difference is the quality of the front two. Clearly. We didn't have that earlier in the season. The key is Jutkiewicz. Take him out and we are a different team.
Jutkiewicz makes a difference to the quality up front but he doesn't help the way the team passes, the added protection in midfield, the link up between defence and midfield, the structure of our attacks...and so on.
HE FECKIN DOES!!!

He adds ALL of the above to our team. You know. The more you post trying to appear knowledgable, the less knowledge you actually show.

His ability to hit the channels means our 'wide' men didn't have to stay out wide. He dragged out a centre back leaving holes for everybody else on the pitch to play in. He was retaining the ball meaning we could play higher up the pitch. All basic stuff, yet you can't see it. Consider my flabber well and truly gasted

He helps with our ability to pass too. Instead of sitting on the ball, wondering who to hit it forwards to, below knee height, there's a much more complete range of passes that people can play with a likelihood of success.

In fairness, it wasn't only Juke, Mason was doing similar too.

Is that the same Olsssen who's claiming now that.."It was a one-off. We made them look better than they were". The same Olssen the whole of the Blackburn fan forum were howling at his being in the side at all because he's useless. That Olssen?

Had a little foray onto there myself' but it would appear they don't like opposing fans going on there and expressing their views on the game. The poor loveys had a meltdown and banned me!!! Not very sporting methinks. But I;ll forgive them as we are all too aware of the education levels in that neck of the woods. :spank:

Perhaps it's just me but why has Jonny Cooper simply quoted other posts without adding his own comments? Is an old codger like me missing the point?

He has, he's just fecked up the spacing and stuck it before TD's writing so it's quoted TD as saying it.

I've just had a look through their forum, LOOOOOL. My personal favourite was this gem:

"W###ys don't seem to realise they beat a s#### Rovers side playing a left back at centre half. A big crash back down to earth awaits after their big cup final yesterday. I tried to go on their board to explain to the Horwich massive that we are distraught at losing 4 nowt to a crap team via mostly the same old mistakes and never does it register that they are a bitter rival (lol). Sadly I couldn't answer the questions on the register form without checking up as I don't know enough about the tinpot Manchester overspill outfit to answer them. Doubt anyone does, so insignificant they are to the rest of Lancashire"

He gives so little of a shit about how insignificant we are that he felt the need to try to join a BWFC forum to tell us :lmfao:
