Paul Scholes had more natural talent than David Beckham, yet one shunned the agents, and one very much didn't. Beckham's worth a hell of a lot more than Scholes!
Yes, but then no-one wants to see Paul Scholes modelling his big underpants. :D

I do.

The difference being, I imagine, that David Beckham's agent doesn't then expect to be paid a chunk by Police sunglasses or whoever's underpants for negotiating a deal on behalf of his own client. I've long since given up on trying to fathom out the economic workings of football. It seems to operate on the economics of the madhouse.

Aye it's what I meant really. In certain industries agents seem to really represent their clients.

In football often agents seem to be the main beneficiaries. Not always of course, but often....

^^^ Oh my.

Not seen owt like that on a football pitch since Bert Rooney slid either side of a post at full pelt at school. He later used to go under the name "Colonel Bogey" and got unfathomable upset when anyone whistled a famous tune within his hearing. His new nickname was "One-Ball".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

I get all that, and thinks it's sus (Oyston at Blackpool refuses to pay them I think), but it's not all of them.

I also think 'main beneficiaries' is a bit OTT but I get the point your driving at.

It's certainly not true when they're dealing with our 'arry, who is innocent by the way. Not to mention the odd one closer to home!
