But it isn't like they have done this mid season and have some time. The next game is the most important for Norwich's season.

I stumbled across summat yesterday which pointed out that of all the Premier League clubs to have sacked their manager this season, the only one that's currently in a better position than they were is Palace.

And Palace swapped a total fraud for a real and proven Premiership boss.....

To be honest, I expected Poyet to do better at Sunderland. To not be able to do any better than Di Canio is very poor indeed. Don't know if you saw them last night but Spurs could/should have had a dozen.

Other than for that one and the Clown/Pullis change though, yes, some utterly inexplicable changes.

To be fair to Poyet he has done better, just not "better enough" so far....

Sunderland sacked Bruce as they were close to the relegation zone, brought in O'Neill who kept them up, then when he looked like taking them down sacked him and appointed Di Canio who kept them up. They they then sacked Di Canio for Poyet to try and stay up, they've been bumbling around the bottom for a while and I guess changing managers is a band-aid over a bigger problem that eventually bleeds over the latest band-aid....

The job Pulis has done is IMO remarkable at Palace. They were so far short of being a premiership side it is unreal. They'd lost their main talent and Holloway had bought his usual collection of misfits.

Pulis has worked wonders there. Manager of the season for me (assuming they finish the job off and stay up).

Poyet done OK when what they needed was a miracle. Palace needed a miracle and got one!

Palace are probably safe now' can't see any of the bottom 3 reaching 34points.Holloway has proved he is a charlatan time after time.But we wouldn't pay the reported 2.5mill a year that Pulis was reported to have wanted when he took over at Palace.He also took over a team that was pretty much assembled by Dougie and was heading for auto promotion to the PL until Hollowhead nearly derailed it.

I remember the Dougie Out mania was at a height after the Millwall draw on 15-Feb. Is it agreed that we've had one disappointing game since then - Brighton at home. Maybe Yeovil?? I would say any new boss or Jimmy Phillips wouldn't have done better.

You can agree with this and still want a change in the Summer (I don't).

Again the question comes down to, he's shown that he knows the sorts of players we need.

Danns, Jutkiewicz, Mason and to a lesser degree Hutton have all made very decent impacts.

If he's allowed and/or able to sign those players or equivalents I'd be pretty confident for next season.

But if not then I'd be worried whoever was in charge. We don't have money to splash I get that, but the loanees have shown us the sort of characters required, and bringing some of those (ideally all) in next season is essential.

Equally if he goes off and signs more with the Beckford character then he can get lost, because that was a mistake with our squad and one that shouldn't be repeated.

Well as you say, I hope he starts next season with the outlook he's finished this season with.

Because if he doesn't learn from the mistakes he's made the previous season, he'll never be a manager
