Re: Booze after the boos against the Blues ? 3 May 2014
I noticed last time I was in Horwich (the shithole) there is a Bank Top Brewery Pub now open on Chorley Old Road. Just up from Il Toro on the other side of the road.
Bit of a trek but good beer.

Good job you didn't come to Charlton with me or that dream would be forever shattered.clapton is god wrote:Include me in. I'd rather travel a little and get away from the ground, but coke tastes the same anywhere.

The Ale House GtE, formerly Brown Cow. Decent enough but lacks atmosphere. We'll bring our own however as we celebrate 14th equal. I'll then do every pub in Horwich finishing at The Tollbar. Anyone is welcome to join me, or I'll just drink on my own again.

... or we could start, and finish, at the Toll Bar. Is it still Thwaites ?LeverEnd wrote:The Ale House GtE, formerly Brown Cow. Decent enough but lacks atmosphere. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Hadn't you better issue us with a list of the places that'll allow you in first, Bobo, you recalcitrant 4ucker?

May the bridges I burn light your way

If he is knocking a pub crawl on the head, logic dictates that the only place he can go is the Tollbar.

Horwich did number three of the six pubs that got through to Camra's best pubs in Bolton. As such, we should 4ugk Bobo off and head for them!

Most definitely a lager nice person.
It's a football match, not a beer festival.

So you don't mind where co lager's everywhere. I don't, coz I'll be driving, Lever End doesn't coz he's a piss head, Willy wants something decent coz he's in need of bacchanalian delights, Bruce only drinks Rioja. We're making progress.
Any one else bothering ??

I can't see the point in buggering off up to Horwich when there's a couple of pubs near the ground?bobo the clown wrote:Yay. Let's sort out the who and then we'll deal with the where. One advantage of a small distance away is they won't be heaving. But being across the way means we are already there.
Give it a few days.
