Threkeld at right back, ream left back. From what I can tell.

I the excitement I got the scorer of the first mixed. Picture not too clear on Radio Tango. It was a Beckford assist and Danns netted. Much better game commentary today. Now we need more of the same and no letting them play pot-shots at us as we sit back and defend the lead. Come on Whites, give us something to smile about....COME ON DEL BOY..... :oyea: Part the second...

Pity about the other end, eh!
I was pilloried on here for saying if we'd defended properly for the early stages of the season we'd be pushing the top 6 if not more.

Tis true though.......
Not quite that simple.

We conceded 2 or more, 6 times before December and 6 times after December.

Clean sheets 5 before Chrimbo and 7 after Chrimbo - not hugely significant

There have been 6 games where we've scored two or more and not got three points. (three before Christmas and three after)

So I don't think it's just defending early season that's cost us.

Come on Whites, let's have some really irritable Owls.....

Florescent reds trot onto the greensward and...Here we go....our kick-off and....Mills, Dans, Trotter and then Ream slices one out. They sally forth and.....Chungy goes and....Danns and....Hall....and he gets chopped. Free us and.....we lose it but go again and.....Trotter and...cleared. And now.....Antonio sallies and.....we get pushed back and......clear and Beckford... Chungy and.......Kirkland makes a wonder save from Danns. Great move from us and pity Danns couldn't finish it. Real chance that they say.....and....now....they fly at us and....Bogdan eventually clears off a bad back pass. Hall is fouled and we get a free. Bright start to part two....

And now....Beckford heads goal wards but they clear. Now Mills clears and.....Danns has a dab but Threlkeld gats a welcome to the book yellow card....is he?.....Liner getting the boos for making the trainers go all the way round the pitch. Now....Beckford.....and.....Halll and......ohhhh Chungy pokes one over. Good break from us but now they break and Antonio gets done for a foul. And....long and.....Mills clears but back they come and......and.....Bogdan almost fooled there before we go and.......Beckford foolishly has a boxing match and....gets a yellow, as does the Owler, but we get the free kick. And......Hall......and.....and.....and.....just over....

There have been 21 games this season that have been 1-0 or 1-1 - Out of them, we've won 5, drawn 9 and lost 7 - turning those draws into wins would have been fairly significant - so who's to blame for a 1-1 draw? The defence for letting one in, or the strikers for not managing to score 2? Most of the 1-1's (6) were before Christmas, most of the 1-0 losses after Christmas...

Ramirez? gets booked for charging the ball down and......it goes dead. And now.....Wheater sees it out for a goal-kick. And......they make a sub and....take off the goalscorer? for Perry? Now Wheater clears and then Hall loses it. They come visiting and....Ream clears. Chungy gets it but they come again and Bogdan has to grab it. Danns now, Ream and.....Danns loses it to a good tackle and.....and......Ream, Spearing, Chungy, Spearing, Wheater and here we go round the mulberry bush. Throw, some more keep ball and now......Kirkland dashes out and grabs it as ....Juke warms up....

Kirkland leathers one and Wheater clears. Chungy loses out and they sally and......Mills makes a brilliant interception after a good break from them. Back they come and we need to keep control here. They win it back and.....here they come but Mills clears. Looks like we're relying on a real break happening rather than attacking and.......Chungy goes, Danns gets fouled. Free kick and...
.....we go long and win a throw. And.......and......Danns wins then loses, wins back and.....they clear and they get a free.....and....now they sally from the left and.....Threlfeld gets real good plaudits for a clearance. They visit again and.......we win it, but lose it and Juke looming on the line. And....throw them and.....Bogdan collects well. And .....Beckford loses out and.....they win a free kick. Hall gets a boo or two for flicking it away and.....now....Chungy....Danns, cleared and Spearing, Trotter, Chungy......Threlkeld gets a good cross in.

Hall leaves the affray for Juke after having a decent game. And now, they visit again and....and...Ream charges one down and clears. And now.....Spearing, Juke and...he slips. They fly at us and Mills does well. Trotter does well but Kirkland grabs it. Bogdan dives on one and.....and.....Juke wins a throw. Their big fella drags one well wide (thank you) and now.....Danns does well and it's a throw. Now the Owls come at us twice and.....and.....Chungy clears. Wheater clears but Chungy stands on it and they get a shooting chance that sails over.

And now.....Bogdan sails one and.....we have men forwards and....they clear and sally again. Kellet arrives for a debut and .......and.....Beckford leaves the greensward.

They need 2. Reading can finish on 71 and are only 1 goal behind.

Is that the case?

Wondered at the time when Rosler made eight changes for the Millwall game if he might live to regret it.

Fulham just blown a 2 goal lead late on in the Premiership relegation battle, where a win would have seen them outside the bottom three.

Been there
