Give it a few days.
If you are heading into Horwich I wouldn't mind putting faces to the names, we're already heading there after the game so I wouldn't mind nipping into the boozer you choose if you are about.

That's great. what kind of tw*t will you be?
Most definitely a lager tw*t.

It's a football match, not a beer festival.
Yay. On the head.

So you don't mind where co lager's everywhere. I don't, coz I'll be driving, Lever End doesn't coz he's a piss head, Willy wants something decent coz he's in need of bacchanalian delights, Bruce only drinks Rioja. We're making progress.

Any one else bothering ??
yes.

I would have been there, but we're in Yarkshire for the weekend. Besides, the way that I feel at the moment (manflu), i'm not sure that i'll survive another week.

Are you up for a pint next week ?

If so, do you prefer the ground based pubs or up to Horwich ... & is that a deal breaker either way ?

Looks like we're in for a good shout of relegating Birmingham.

Always thought Birmingham City were a bit of a troubling team to play against at home but looking at our actual record against them it would suggest we're in for a very good shout of beating them. (think this comes down to us losing to them after almost going a year unbeaten at home in the league)

Not the nicest thing to be the ones to deliver the final blow to a team on the last day of the season but it would be nice to finish on a positive note at home. So it boils down to this. We win then we can celebrate. Birmingham win then they can celebrate (providing results go their way, which given the scenario looks likely.

This is all speculative as Birmingham may beat Wigan in midweek but we shall see.

It is. So short time for a pre-match snifter. But the game over & done and time to have waved bye-bye to them by 2.15pm.

I'll be having one or two sniffs of the barmaid's apron (as it's my birthday) but not in Bolton.
It's the last day of my thirties so I too will be down the less beautiful end of the country. Have a good meet up though folks, hope enraged relegated Zulus don't smash up the pub...

I know we played last game of the season against Brum a few seasons ago (The Flipper-man extravaganza when they all came up in fancy dress) when they were already relegated before the game, but I seem to recall playing them last game some other time not too long ago. Am I wrong?

We did and they also got relegated that season. Think the result was a 2-1 win and Klasnic scored?
