absolute garbage. and that isn't just a one eyed assessment, that was shared amongst about a dozen or more of us talking about it at the match. chungy was the only bright spark which is probably why he was hooked and I thought mills was solid again

I know it was last game and all that, but it had all the same symptoms as too many other games to mention - no passing, no movement, no determination to win, no pattern etc. as with far too many teams, including all those now relegated, we were lucky to get something out of the game against them

We have zero chance of going up next year with Freedman in charge, he's an amateur - a very negative, tactically naïve manager, I can't wait until next October when he's gone elsewhere to continue his apprenticeship.

Beckford, Trotter & Danns are absolute dogshite.....I've played against much better local amateur players. We are so slow when we have the ball, play with no tempo, we don't press and just let the opposition have the ball and without M Davies have absolutely no creativity in the squad. The team mirror's Freedman's personality....dour, boring, passionless and clueless. Week in week out we play like a team who haven't trained together as we have no pattern to our play, they play like complete strangers

And I honestly can't see what people see in Spearing....he offers nothing.

How anyone can see progress under Freedman is baffling

Just glad this season is over, sen a few away games and i have to agree with pt for a high percentage of the games we are dour, boring and clueless.
However I look forward to away games next season, they are are superb, meeting quite a few from here and the bolton area, plymouth wanderer and the bish - get ready for the fixture list, we have to get together, meeting dan will be your highlight of 2014 / 15, well almost, you joining us pt ?

I'd be about as welcome as Freedman in my house !!

A big thanks to all who have given opinion on the game & our side today, and throughout the season. A special thanks to Tango, who has had to report on some real dirge this season, but still entertained with his reports. As said, we had nothing but pride to play for, but from what I've seen, we did it well. Brum meanwhile had everything to play for. This could have been their nadir, it could have led to financial meltdown and obscurity for them. So good on Brum (Always liked that programme when my kids were little ); who we'll probably draw 2-2 with, away from home, on the final game of the season next year to miss promotion on goal difference. Highlight of the day has to be LC running the full length of the touchline at the final whistle to dive into the Zulu's; a classic moment. Who says these overpaid managers, players, chairmen don't care? At least the Samaritans won't be as busy tonight. For me, I'm glad to put this season to bed. A new dawn awaits, and Dougie had better get the fvck out of bed early, because another season like this one won't be anywhere near good enough.

Cant be arsed disecting it now, much like the players couldnt be arsed turning up (apart from back 4 plus spearing). Shambolic stuff bringing knight on and inviting crossess which with that zigic lad was the only way they would score.

Threlkeld looked ok, nervy (understandable). Worst thing for that lad would be to start next season as an understudy - get him out on loan. He'll improve with game time. I'd keep kellett around though looks handy off the bench. Chose wrong ball both times on the break though. Still really positive mind.

Threlkeld looked perfectly competent to me. Send him out on loan? No way. These kids are going to be big parts of our squad next season. We will find out how good they are but we need them to improve here not be shunted elsewhere now. Otherwise we are back to hoping for miracles in the loan system.

Kellet looked very lively, he is unlikely to ever make left back being so small, but as a winger could be useful, both balls he played were fine in my view and deserved far better from Danns and Jutkiewicz with their finishes.

If these two aren't part of the squad next season we might as well not bother with the pretence of trying to give youngsters a chance.

They have done well enough to earn the right to see how good they are or could be next season.

The most obvious difference in the two sides, yesterday was one wanted/needed to win to survive and one didn't. Full credit to Brum for their never-say-die attitude when they could have easily let their heads drop and given up two goals behind. (Not like that all season granted or they wouldn't be dodging relegation). The other lot (us) don't even know if the club will want them, have relied heavily on loan players to dig us out of the shit and hardly a one will have a feel-good factor about managerial praise because all he does is blame them for it all. I'll climb right down and hold up a big hand if D.F changes our fortunes in any marked way and I want to be wrong, but right now I've never known the club feel less like Bolton Wanderers. We had it in the bag yet we retreated and scurried inside the castle walls, and relied on bows and arrows to keep the fireballs out. When Ivanhoe was needed we sent out Wamba the court jester. We came that close to losing altogether when a two goal lead could easily have been four.

Ah well, despite all, we'll still be saying COME ON YOU WHITES all over again next season..

Agree with every word there insane one. Threlkeld was fine imo. Kellet was like a breath of fresh air, although as Bobo said afterwards "we'll soon knock that out of him"

On the first of his runs he delayed passing ... opting for a later pass to his left (to Juke, I think) rather than the quicker option to his right ... to Beckford.

The lad clearly has an astute football brain.

On both occasions Kellett had 'runners' left and right both times I thought it was the 'strikers' fault for not hitting the target, can't blame Kellett for either of those. I thought he added impetus to the side and helped relieve a lot of pressure. I'd have him as a bench player for next season and introduce when other teams are tired.

As for Threlkeld, I'd play him from the start of next season. He's done enough to deserve it my opinion and it's obvious that that is going to have to be the route we go. It worked for a team like Southampton why can't it work for us?
