Hasn't Dyer turned down Leicester's offer of a new contract rather than him being fired off like Knight and Eagles? I may have made that up but if true then I'm sure we wouldn't be able to match it.
I just can't see it to be honest.

Don't rate him, he can run fast but often lacks end product, isn't what we need for me.
Wrong age too for a player that I think is often on the edge of games and not integral. By all means an older Danns who can be very influential is fine. But Dyer as an in and out winger at his age doesn't grab me at all.
Would be pretty worried if we signed him to be honest.
Hasn't he scored against us in the last 3 games we have played against Leicester?
This season he has scored 10 and assisted 8. Contributing to 18 goals in a season is hardly lack of end product.
Fair enough on the stats. In the best team in the division.
I've never been hugely impressed when I've seen him. Yes he has scored a few against us but that isn't reason enough for me.
Only going off when I've seen him, just doesn't strike me as what we need.
But anyhow, we will see should we sign him.

Why? I don't rate Dyer. It can't be that controversial surely?bobo the clown wrote:I honestly think you say stuff for badness.BWFC_Insane wrote:Not seen any of the Dyer rumours, but I'd be very unimpressed if we signed him.

The actual name Lloyd comes from the area in the North-East of Wales, once a County, Clwyd and is a development from that. The river Clwydis the origin of that name.
Those in South Wales say that almost as "Cloyd" whereas in the actual area it's said as "Clue-Wid'.
Lloyd if said in a Welsh manner, which it wouldn't be .... would be "Cl-Oid" with a slight 'h' sound as you say the 'Cl' ... not an absolute 'h' just something which sort of softens the 'Cl' a little.
That pronunciation is quite different from how you'd properly say Llangollen or Llandudno.
Thise woukd be "hl-an-goth-len" and "hlan-did-no".

He is average at best, we have all sorts of talented players in our squad yet we insist on signing average players on the cheap just to "freshen things up a bit"BWFC_Insane wrote:Not seen any of the Dyer rumours, but I'd be very unimpressed if we signed him.

I'd take Dyer tomorrow. Anyone who wouldn't is a dozy llunt.

no - but claiming he has no end product when he has been involved in 18 goals this season is kinda off-beam...BWFC_Insane wrote:Why? I don't rate Dyer. As I said the stats are fair enough for this season. But he was playing in the best side in the league.thebish wrote:no - but claiming he has no end product when he has been involved in 18 goals this season is kinda off-beam...BWFC_Insane wrote:Why? This is a post from a couple of years back about him. General opinion ties in with mine about lack of end product.
http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic ... econsider/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now he's had a great season, but arguably slightly out of character and he's often come off the bench. At 31 is that season at a side who have got over 100 points this season an anomaly or a reinvention for the player?
I have my doubts personally.

Anyone Freedman wants I don't think I do!
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
He's always looked shit when I've seen him. Straight out of the Bernard Mendy school of sprinters in football boots. Can't argue with his stats for this season though! It looks like it's a purple patch, but no rules that say a purple patch has to be consigned to one football season only. And he's fecking quick which we lack (He's got genuine pace, Jeff. As opposed to what, spurious pace?).
Wingers to stretch teams were key to Freedman's success at Palace. I'd not be dancing for joy if we got Dyer, but he could be a good addition.

Trouble is we've got too many players who make nothing out of something... the something frequently being An Enormous Contract.SmokinFrazier wrote:Eagles is a frustrating player at times but you need those who can get something out of nothing.

He was involved in almost 20% of their goals.
the 2nd most creative player in their team.. I'd say that's pretty fvckin top.. especially when you consider how superior most of their players are to everything else in the division.

I wouldn't want Dyer in the team on grammatical grounds. Before you know it we'll be lining up with Eusless, Desperait, Dyer, Krap, Inorspishus, Bleak, Baleful, Cheerless, Glumm, Morrose, and Dejeck Ted.
That's not a leopard!
