Quick, someone call Zulu - the elephants are back!

Now that's a decided improvement on 188 Bet. Quite tasteful in fact.

The only thing I don't like is that useless tit Pratley having anything to do with the club's future.

Same. Completely. Andrews has been more in my mind than him.

Another for the offer of a loan to Morecambe or Rochdale.

I see that a Tory councillor has waded into this debate, with some frankly, embarassing comments....

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... s/11196137._/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Conservative councillor and supporter Andy Morgan said: “I think it contradicts a lot of what the manager has been saying about moving forward with young players and clearing out some of the old guard.

“I am all for marking the history of the club, but I just feel this is the wrong message and an elephant is not the most dynamic of animals.”
I fail to see how a badge reflects the direction of the playing side of a football club. I mean, coooooooommmmmmmmmmeeeee on.

Secondly why does an elephant not being dynamic matter? I reckon a team of 11 elephants would have a good chance of beating a team of say, 11 ferrets. Are ferrets dynamic? I'd say so.

Exactly. Hannibal didn't cross the Alps with a ferret, did he?

Wow. He must have been struggling to find something to do that day!

I wonder how many of the "fans", including said councillor, are actually that? He's probably some self-serving jobsworth looking to promote himself in the public eye. A glance at the vote seems slightly in favour of the pachyderm, but again, how many are voting with the club in mind. An acquaintance of mine, who bought and sold for a living, used to say, "most of these xxxxers are just sight-seers and time waters." Time proved him right. Have the vote at the er, stadium. or even on the forums and see what percentage are in favour amongst the football lovers rather than the "Dear editor, it has come to my notice, blah, blah" .

The voting is a little dubious anyway as the question "Do you like Bolton Wanderers' new elephant logo?" isn't quite as clear cut as say "Do you want Bolton Wanderers to revert back to an elephant logo?" - my answer to that is an unequivocal Yes, the new one however, has some design issues (especially around the lugholes) that could cause some who do want an elephant to answer a No to the specific "Do you like Bolton Wanderers' new elephant logo?".

Much of it will be traditionalists with some respect for the club's history voting yay. I never wanted the toffee wrapper ribbons badge, but it was adopted. Not sure I really care any more. My era's almost gone. Very soon they'll be giving trophies for electronic subbuteo. Que sera...etc....

Considering the idiots who comment on the BEN website, the question "Do you want pachys on the new Bolton shirt?" isn't the best question to ask..

Does this mean a return for the goalkeeping coach Fred Babar?

I would much rather have that design back Tango than this amateur thing that is being proposed. It would be even better if its ear as correct (as would the new Bolton one).

Seeing as the other thread has been closed and therefore my prediction of where the badge will be lost, I think it will either be on the rear below the collar or on a sleeve.

Don't think of it as lost, jaffka, just frozen in time.
