Not good enough. He was having all his business done by today. We should start a thread of Dougie quotes that we can keep coming back to over the year

May the bridges I burn light your way

He'd better be a f*cking wonderful player, else the manager'll get crucified for bringing in expensive pampered youngsters that don't give atoss about our club.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Be surprised if we get Thorgan. Unless its our free loan that Chelsea owe us?
Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
He's scored against the Pie-Eaters in the Waffa Cup. He gets bonus points alreadyLord Kangana wrote:He'd better be a f*cking wonderful player, else the manager'll get crucified for bringing in expensive pampered youngsters that don't give atoss about our club.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Why would he want to develop players for other clubs at the expense of our own ?Lord Kangana wrote:He'd better be a f*cking wonderful player, else the manager'll get crucified for bringing in expensive pampered youngsters that don't give atoss about our club.
Would never happen
Completely against everything Dougie stands for.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bobo, come on now. Let's not go down that route. Threlkeld, Kellett, Illiev, Youngs, Lester and Clough on the verge of the squad or played this season.bobo the clown wrote:Why would he want to develop players for other clubs at the expense of our own ?Lord Kangana wrote:He'd better be a f*cking wonderful player, else the manager'll get crucified for bringing in expensive pampered youngsters that don't give atoss about our club.

Piece from the Boro Evening Gazette suggests that Boro fans want rid of The Juke and they rate him at £1.2m (just scroll to the bottom of the page)

His "gift" to us this coming year I guess.Riviman wrote:Mr Trotter coming on a permanent deal?

He's been building us up for this news for weeks & why he was almost erect at his one half decent game and that, to be fair, good shot for his goal. An example of him understanding the game better than anyone else.

I'd rather we signed a footballer. Someone mobile and with skill. Someone who is up to pace with the game both physically and mentally. I see little of this in him.
Add that to it being money spent in an area of the pitch where it is least needed.
So, overall, I guess I'm not on the fence on this one.
if he does prove me wrong I'll be quick to admit it .... but I doubt I'll need to be doing.

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Let's face it, Trotter was better than the abominably bad Danns on Saturday. So if signing Danns was good, signing Trotter is better.
