We're not going for a new manager so it is academic but I've been pretty impressed with how Sherwood has handled himself at Spurs.

Tells it like it is. Has done pretty well there considering the situation.

Win percentage of 59% with a group of overpriced misfits signed by AVB with constant rumours you're about to be sacked? Motivating the likes of Adebayor into actually bothering to move?

I'd say that is pretty decent, however you look at it.

So perhaps correctly priced misfits then? Or would that involve thinking about what you write?

Except he achieved that success by motivating pre-existing Spurs players like Adebayor at the expense of £30M summer signing Soldado.......

Then there is Erik Lamela....£26M hasn't played since December.

Can't argue with his win record, but I'm unconvinced. Tony Adams/ David James school of idiots who think they are revolutionary geniuses. He'll get found out IMO, if he's not pissed off all the players by then.

My view as well. Way, way too full of himself.

He'll get his opportunity however & then we'll see. Maybe be allowed to piss QPR's money against a wall for a bit when 'arry decides he and Rosie have had enough.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, there is that. I would not appoint him as he's a risk. Just I've been impressed with him and think he has a chance of a career in management.

Probably means he'll be absolutely hopeless.

For me, the concern with him is his results against teams around / above them.. They don't just seem to get beat. They seem to get tw*tted..

Are we talking about Freedman, Sherwood or Wenger (away)?

Spurs fans I know - and they are legion - can't stand Terrace Tim and his knee-jerk gobshittery. One of those whom you don't mind being in charge of someone else's team. File under Di Canio, P.

Sounds about right to me. Consistently feel embarrassed for him during his press conferences, which he performs in the style of a man admiring his muscles in a gym mirror. His fake humility makes my stomach churn.

Give over. His fake humility is the most genuine fake humility you'll see this side of the black stump. 8)

I'll put this in here.

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... _/?ref=mac" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think it is obvious who the candidates are that he's talking about. Sounds like a real mess and shameful of those players to act in that way. Glad Dougie is taking some blame too.

I really hope we can be more together as a club next season both in and out the dressing room.

A refreshingly honest article. Presumably the troublemakers have now left?

Like I said. The first 10 games of next season will show whether he stays or goes. There's nowhere to hide now.
