If this is true then does that mean Southampton F.C. are the Hitler Youth?

just to clear it all up, here is the official scientific conversion table of crowd units:

10 shedloads = 1 Bus load
1,000 Bus loads = 1 football stadium
200 football stadiums = 1 Belgium

One for Hoboh:

There are now less Romanians and Bulgarians in the UK than there were before restrictions were lifted on 1st January.

The obvious flaw in these figures is this: there are shedloads less Bulgarians & Romanians working in Britain
But there might actually though be thousands upon thousands of bus loads more workshy idle feckers of Bulgarian & Romanian citizenship infesting our Great British streets and B&Bs because those figures haven't been released. What's that saying about lies, damned lies and statistics?

Also - should be an interesting day today as the figures for the number (busloads?) of East Europeans that have come over since the rules were changed are published.
Sad really, it is not right IMHO that you can label something, even if it is hypothetical, racisist when it could actually be true and it is a fact it involves other races.
What are we to do ignore everything or be called racisist.
It seems the work of the left wing to stiffle debate.

He does himself no favours at times. His point is entirely valid, but he really could have expressed it better. I like the fact that he is a leading politician not afraid to offend, even when I disagree, but crass is the right word.

Was talking with a friend over the weekend who is employed by a Housing Association in Manchester to get people into work. While it struck me that it's an odd position for a housing association to employ it was either her or no-one apparently.

I was expecting her to be a bit of a lefty, a Guardian reader, but

She said that it is all too painfully obvious the benefit culture which has been created over a couple of decades. The worst groups of people for trying to get into work were Somalis and ...... White British.

The benefits cap and the clamping down on turning up to the job centre etc. has apparently finally started to help motivate these people, although she expressed concern at the Universal Credit giving the head of the family too much money when they generally aren't responsible enough to divvy it out properly. A bit like when your student loan arrives and the students go mad with it on booze, except you have 5 kids to look after. Also the stringent rules on logging 35 hours of job-searching activity per week may be too much, meaning you can't volunteer or observe work for example, and many still can't use a computer.

Interesting though anyway to hear from someone with hands on experience agree with the Conservative's view for the most part. Tend to get the feeling social workers and their sort will be Labour. I also know many stories from GPs about the lengths people will go to get on the club.

Here is a really interesting interview between Sam Harris and Ayaan Hirsi Ali: http://www.samharris.org/blog/item/lift ... lamophobia" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's a brief background of her history at the beginning there, but she's been in the news a lot recently because Brandeis University withdrew an offer of an honorary degree after a backlash about some of the things she has said and is supposed to have said about Islam.

Once you can get past the self-congratulatory nature of the interview as they both strenuously agree with each other, I think it's really interesting. She's a very divisive figure, with some people supporting her as a brave inspiring voice, and some criticising her as offensive and alarmist. This is the first time I've read or heard anything directly from her, and I thought that whilst I wouldn't necessarily agree with every word she says, there's nothing in that that shouldn't be part of any debate on the subject IMO.

It's one of the things she's anti that apparently some see as offensive and alarmist. If we are to debate what is offensive and alarmist I reckon it should be thrown in the ring.
