I really, really dislike cats. I think they are horrible creatures that kill other animals for fun (I know it is their instinct). They also know I dislike them and they normally snake round my legs and generally annoy me.

This is the first cat I have ever liked.

Same here. That dog could have done serious harm to the little lad.

As an aside, how much cctv has that street got ! A residential street.

Also as an aside .... that mother's a hottie.

I don't think it was public cctv but part of the father's home security system with cameras round the house. His neighbour's security system seems to be a poorly trained and restrained dog. Dog will presumably be put to sleep and another million dollar law suit to settle.

I get that, but it looks like an ordinary, domestic, housing estate. That they need such precautions is not a great thought.

Nothing on that scale in Cheshire Wales despite being alarmingly close to bin-dipper land.

The defence panels.....or should that be de fence panels? Latest fad for overnight thieves is apparently nicking fence panels and re-selling them at crazy prices. Reports claim £20 panels are changing hands at £80 each in places.

Mrs Webster, who is retired, said: ‘I look after my garden and I saved to replace my privet hedge with a fence to make it easier to maintain and now my privacy has gone.’"

There is a shortage of them. Something to do with the high winds a while back.

Like A.T says, they are in very short supply. Apparently, as soon as a store takes a delivery, they're gone right now. Thieves are stealing to order. Don't find it hard to believe Monty, somebody hopped over our garden wall and uprooted a miniature palm tree one night before we got the dog, and one or two folk lost hanging baskets overnight a couple of years back. I thought all that had stopped, but apparently not. Who would risk a fine or even jail for nicking a ten quid hanging basket?

I want to know, is it legal to plant a thief?

I was told about it ( the Bolton theft) by neighbours who have just bought a load of new panels (they waited a fortnight for delivery but have them now) I looked it up on the internet
and found several reports of thieving to order. Maybe it has been sorted now as Clapton says.

If that's £50 for a one off it sounds expensive.

The benefits ... especially in holiday season ... are good. Keeps you away from the riff-raff and is quiet, free booze, nibbles, papers and showers. But they really come into their own when you have two-stage flights with long lay-overs. They can be a bit like a doctor's waiting room mind.

Pretty much what Bobo said. The lounges are fairly basic, but better than the general areas. Not worth 50 quid though - the better lounges are the business/first class lounges belonging to the major airlines. Best way to do it is either get an Amex card. Gold gets you a free Lounge Pass. This gives you 2 free entries to 100s of lounges worldwide. Thereafter you pay about 15 quid to get in per visit. You can get Lounge Pass directly from their website, but with the reward points it might make more sense to get Amex for you. Priority Pass is an alternative to Lounge Pass. Always worth checking whats included for the lounge as well. Some have a time limit of 3 hours and some don't include alcohol etc too.

Last time I used Servisair lounge there were no seats left. Eventually bagged some, but they were still letting the punters in and it was crowded. Might as well have been in the general area
