Re: Tonight's Football
I remember a game at Burnden where they played long ball pressing game to perfection after we'd taken the lead. I think we got away with a draw, but Dion Dublin and some bloke called Taylor I think murdered our defence.Bruce Rioja wrote:Cambridge United - Back in the league after nine years. A very, very decent game. Unlucky, Gateshead. Whatever happened to John Beck, by the way.

The feck is Gary O'Neil doing there with half an hour left?!

Brought the striker down from behind. It was always a red. Stupid non use of grey cells by O'Neill.Vertigo wrote:What did he do? Can only watch the scoreline here.

Got himself sent off ahead of the inevitable dismissal of Joey BartonVertigo wrote:What did he do? Can only watch the scoreline here.

Purposely brought a Derby player down with a tackle from behind as he was just about to break into QPR's box.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: Tonight's Football
Yep defo a clear goalscoring opportunity, though by no means a defo goal coming, still had the keeper to beat with defenders not too far behind. Plus half an hour to go. Stupid. Derby look much the better side anyway. Defo better value!

Perhaps I will jinx this or not.
I just fancy QPR to pull this off somehow. Derby are absolutely superb until the final shot or pass, but then they seem to fall apart.

Well, have to say Derby deserved what they got. All that pissing around playing nice little reverse passes matters not if you don't create and take chances.
They created very little.
Pretty football, pah!

I thought they looked quite Sparky. Just couldn't deliver a killer final shot. QPR looked beseiged.Vertigo wrote:Lol great thanks Derby. Useless.

Weren't they the top scorers in the Division?BWFC_Insane wrote:And there you go.......

They must have some cutting edge. Gutted for Derby.
Re: Tonight's Football
They were better, and created more, than a QPR side assembled for about a billion times the price. Robbed by Gary 'Luis Suarez' O'Neil the cheating bastard.BWFC_Insane wrote:Well, have to say Derby deserved what they got. I wish we 'pissed around playing nice little reverse passes' like them. Gutted for them.

On the day they didn't have any. Too much pissing around for me, looks nice but I rarely ever thought they were about to score.Worthy4England wrote:Weren't they the top scorers in the Division?BWFC_Insane wrote:And there you go.......

Re: Tonight's Football
Better, but ultimately what matters is sticking the ball in the net. Do that a few times before the overly intricate stuff.Prufrock wrote:They were better, and created more, than a QPR side assembled for about a billion times the price. QPR did what they needed with 10 men.
I'd have far preferred Derby to win. They were poor though.
