What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Well, I'll tell you what I'm NOT watching .... BBC3 7pm "The Wimmin's Football Show".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

French Film with English Subtitles about Jacques Mesrine, a french soldier in the Algerian army who comes back to France and falls into the gangster underworld and becomes Interpol Public enemy No.1. its a true story and I think the concluding part was on late last night. Its a real decent film , with tonnes of action and even though its in French it doesn't annoy. Would recommend it.
Great recommendation WW. Enjoyed it and followed it up with ID:a - not as good, big holes in the clunky storyline, but watchable.

I think it was LK who recommended Micmacs, though I'm guessing you've seen it. That is tremendously nuts.

Nina Conti's act wasn't funny when she first performed it years ago. Why are TV companies still showing it? It's fecking shit. :conf:

Mrs G has just been watching the latest Modern family episode, I knew it had long since gone 5hite but christ this latest one. Sponsored by Quantas, it was basically a promotional video for the Aussie tourist industry wrapped around a weaker than usual storyline. If it hadn't jumped the shark before, it damn well has done now! The actors should be thoroughly ashamed

Yesterday, at the Cornerhouse, I caught the last screening of The Lunch Box. Hindi and English, partial subtitles.

A young wife sends her husband's lunch box - hot and spicy - to his work via a delivery company. It gets delivered to the wrong person, an accountant about to take early retirement, whose wife has died. A conversation starts between them - on notes in the lunch boxes.

It starts off with food, but other things develop.

Will they meet? will they flee to Bhutan together?

It's tender, funny and moving.

I was sat next to two large Indian ladies, who loved it. And made sure everyone around them knew they did.

Watched the first half of A Clockwork Orange last night. Haven't hated a film this much in a long time, and have never been more disappointed (I expected Pearl Harbour to be shit). Spectacularly failed to get the tone of the book. Ugh. Gonna make myself watch the second half tonight I think, hoping it improves.

I was underwhelmed too, TBH but I didn't get round to watching it until a couple of years ago.

Then again it's a bit of an "of its time" film. Lots of the stuff it covered is around a dystopian society, that people couldn't really relate to in 1970...

I wouldn't go further than underwhelmed though. Hated takes effort. :-)

Exactly the same as you, Worthy. Failed to see what all the fuss was about but had to put it in context.

She's easier on the eye than Roger de Coursey that's for sure.

Oh gawd... the missus is back from the dragon-in-laws early, which means I'll have to put up with the extravaganza that is Coro-hype-the-nation Street for the rest of the week. I thought I'd escaped

Well, I finished it. Still hate it. The second half is less awful, but still hateful. Wrong wrong wrong. Musical whimsy and tits. Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory directed by a thirteen year old whose just found out what his knob's for.

I loved the book, but that was pish.
