What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

I never watch the Clap-athon which is 'Question Time'.

I'm going to especially not watch it tonight .... With Piers Morgan and Joey Barton on the bill.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Mad Men - am starting it again..

I think - when it was first out - it was on lateish - and at the end of a long day I usually nodded off!

anyway - am into episode 3 of series one - and can confirm that it is properly fab stuff! :D

I bloody love Mad Men, I seem to be the only person I know still watching. This seventh season has been pretty slow but still oozes cool.

Chuck Ragan at the Garage.

I know there are a few of here going seeing him in Manchester in a few weeks. Make sure you see the support. I defy any man not to fall in love with Billy the Kid, the opener, and then Northcote are good - kind of a bit meh Brian Fallon singing the okish Gaslight songs that go 'woah woah woah' - but they have that earnest American plaid flannel shirt having a good time vibe. Then Chuck is just, well, Steaky McSteakerson. What a voice.

One criticism: he played for an hour and a half, and he doesn't have an hour and a half's worth of songs, but still, fecking great night.

Looking forward to it. Listened to a bit of Northcote, who my mate says are brilliant, but thought the songs sounded a bit average. Who is going to the Manchester gig?

Tracey Barlow.

She is either:
a) the greatest actress that has ever lived
b) such a horrible horrible fecking cow in real life that it would pay one to steer well clear of her.
That's not a leopard!

Well there's you. Does that not count as a few:D?

I thought Hi there, I'm Chris said he was going too when he was saying he liked his stuff. He didn't.

Could be just you then. Not heard any Northcote recordings but I'd imagine they're a band who work a lot better live. It was like the older okayish Gaslight stuff. Not the new awful shite, but the ok songs from when they were good. Still worth watching though coz they had that earnest-American-you-can-tell-they-were-having-fun-and-it-was-hard-not-to-enjoy-it vibe. Beards and plaid flannel shirts.

Do not miss Billy the Kid though #infatuated. Frank produced her album too apparently, got really hopeful he'd make an appearance on one of her songs last night given he lives down the road but had to make do with Chuck duetting. Ohwell.

I'll be there for all the support for sure. Like early Gaslight very much, will give Northcote another listen before the day.
Did you end up stalking Frank to the Lucero gig in the end?

Watched the excellent WtW recco, Caesar Must Die, today. Throws up so many discussion points. Really interesting and thought-provoking on all sorts of levels, plus a Shakespeare play (Julius Caesar) enacted in the most unusual yet ultimately apposite way.

4Ucking thing'll still be up if you were left in charge of taking it down. ;)

How did Elton John go from such absolute brilliance to being such a tuneless tosser? :conf:

Finally got round this weekend to watching True detective. We'd watched the first one when it came out but had sky plussed the rest. Just a couple to go now. Loving it.

Oh and the theme tune :oyea:
"Get your feet off the furniture you Oxbridge tw*t. You're not on a feckin punt now you know"
