2 days of "previously on 24" ??bobo the clown wrote:^^ 24 takes 6 days 2 hours.
How does that work then ?
Re: What are you watching tonight?
I'm guessing it's not counting adverts? So if you watched the box set rather than on tv. Each episode of 24 was only about 45 mins of tv time.

If I ever meet J. J. Abrams I'm going to push him over.

Of all those listed I've only ever seen a few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and of Modern Family. My own fault as the bits that I've seen I found to be absolutely superb. Finished watching Happy Valley last night. Might just be me be I was really expecting more by way of an ending.

There's something coming on called Pointless Celebrities. Then it dawned on me that it's a game of Pointless but with celebrity contestants, and not a programme about Janet Street Porter.

World Cup Special ... with Hop Powell and Casey somebodyorother because, of course, wimmin's footy is as important as men's. On the BBC if nowhere else.Bruce Rioja wrote:There's something coming on called Pointless Celebrities. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I like to think that the creators of Pointless settled finally on the name after looking ahead to the inevitable celebrity editions.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
the Ralph Steadman thing was ok, was interesting to see him work but learned nothing new, retold old stories really and Jonny Depp ads nothing.
The Steve Peat film however is fantastic! I know you don't need a vented interest in the subjects of some documentaries to enjoy them such as F1 with Senna or Snowboarding with The Crash Reel, and I'm sure you could say the same for this despite me having a keen interest in the sport. It's exciting, inspiring, emotional and brilliantly well pull together. Ace.

Game of Thrones. I'm a bit nervous another favourite character killing moment could be nigh. Says a lot for the show that it is actually enhanced by this constant renewal of main characters. I'm still reeling from the end of Season 1.

This evening (after an airport run) I'll be mostly watching Iris, a biographical film that tells the story of British novelist Iris Murdoch and her relationship with John Bayley (It says here) Judi Dench and Kate Winslet both play Murdoch at different parts of her life, as do Jim Broadbent and Hugh Bonneville with Bayley.

What episode are we on now? The mental stuff always happens in the next to last one.

Is it just me that finds Quentin Tarantino films mostly just annoying? At least from Kill Bill onwards.thebish wrote:whilst (it seems) the rest of you lot were off being Brazilian fan-boys, I introduced the kids to Kill Bill... fantastic stuff!![]()

No. It's not just you. Don't get all the fuss here either. And from way before Kill Bill.Beefheart wrote:Is it just me that finds Quentin Tarantino films mostly just annoying? Re: What are you watching tonight?
most of quentin t's films are just like a giant dvd easter egg
"oh look. that yellow suit from that bruce lee film"
"oh listen. that song from that film where that welsh dudes 'brother' murders* her out of the parent trap"
* i forget how it ends
"that's a dick dale single"
"that's the rockateens"
too distracting to actually watch whats going on. maybe its a trick to cover up plot holes by diversion.
