You seem to think that they've not done a proper survey if they haven't asked you. That's not how survey's work.

So they didn't claim that 67% of the population have voted for a change in govt policy then?
Oh, ffs give it a rest Pru. How could I possibly know what a survey is? It was a fxcking joke and I wasn't angry at all.. They claimed 67% of people supported it. That means 67% of the people they asked, not of the population.

How the hell am I supposed to know that!

You posted in the angry thread; posting that they'd voted for something; and that they hadn't surveyed you!

No - it means 67% of the population (give or take the confidence interval, and assuming they had a large, varied sample size).

If you don't understand that, Pru is perfectly correct to point out that you don't understand what a survey is.

Right. I officially don't know what a survey is. End.

It's a big assumption given it was on The Wright Stuff, mind. Seems possible it could be from the Dove school of 'surveys'.

I swear they had one once that said 97% of 50 women asked said it made their skin softer or somesuch. How does that work?

Something I am angry about. Wife always takes a taxi home from Asda or wherever and rings me when she's near home. I go down the path and carry the bags in. Today she came home in a black cab and had got two big bags of compost with her purchases. Guy pulls up and sits there while I get the bags out and carry the lot up the path. No bother.

I then find that he also sat there chatting on his mobile while my wife wheeled a trolley across at Asda and lifted the bags of compost into his cab herself. She's seventy in a couple of months. I wondered why she didn't tip him. Now I know.

Been twiddling thumbs since twelve thirty as I had a client booked in to discuss some major variations to the contract we are running for them and for me to demo the software for him, and he was late.
Just had an email from the tosspot cancelling it. No, not the contract, just the meeting.

And why? Because he's realised it's Friday the 13th and doesn't want to travel.

I need an open mouthed gobsmacked emoticon.

And then I want an Albanian hitman to take the prat out.

The contract's worth three million over five years and we are in the final year with negotiations for a new five-yearer coming up. The variations they want for the last year are significant ans we'll be charging in the region of 100k on top - so one afternoon wasted isn't killing me. It's just the feckin' principle of it. And no, he's nowhere near the top of the food chain - he's just middle management. I am seriously considering my email reply - I've had to figuratively rip up about six versions so far, because I want the right level of indignation without seemingly targeting the pillock with a straight bullet between the eyes; and I need to manipulate what I'm saying so I can copy the feckin email as far up the chain as possible (in his company) without me overstepping the boundaries.
In fact the more I think about it, the more pissed off I am... I might just fire off a vicious sarcastic torpedo and copy every fecker in (my lot and his lot).

emails which hit the spot but would make the person look a fool if they complained are a specialism of mine. For a considerable fee I could draft a couple.

It amazes me that people who refuse to do their job properly for reasons like "it's a bad day", stay employed. How did the bloke in question become middle management in the first place LLS? Sadly LLS BP is from Tonge so not really Albanian.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
