Keep seeing odd points as I walk past the TV but the scoreline looks like a dicking atm!

There goes Murray's wimbledon chances for this year. Even if he could somehow stop playing like a moron and get back into this he won't have enough left in the tank for a likely semi final against Djokovic.
To be honest I can't see where Murray's game has come from today. Was playing so confidently before that this performance just beggars belief. Sure Dimitrov was always possibly going to beat him as he's really playing well and has a chance of winning the whole thing in reality. But I didn't see this performance coming from Murray at all.

Oh absolutely. There just were no signs though. With Nadal you could see he wasn't quite 100% through the first week. With Murray he looked as good as I'd seen him.KeyserSoze wrote:happens.
Perhaps that was the trouble hadn't been tested enough or pushed enough earlier on.

He was two sets to love down at this stage last year too, so certainly not out of it. Though Verdasco and Dimitrov are different animals.

Aye. I thought Queens was as a result of going so far in the French to be honest.KeyserSoze wrote:aye. lest we forget murray crashed out of queens in the first round, a tournament won in the end by yer man, here.BWFC_Insane wrote:Oh absolutely. Agreed with the BBC pundits that it is strange how lacklustre Murray was all of a sudden. Sure you'll have a bad day but it looked like he suddenly had no energy or no intensity.

Sorry about Murray, but our Canadians Raonic and Bouchard are still in it. This is new territory for Canada. The last Canadian man to reach the Wimbledon semis was Robert Powell in 1908.
Raonic has Federer next.

Eugenie Bouchard - the first Canadian to reach a Grand Slam final in the open era.

Think we'd nicked him by then, so he wasn't, under the terms of the competition, Canadian. He was English, like Andy Murray last year (but not this)thebish wrote:apart from Greg Rusedski, that is...Montreal Wanderer wrote:Eugenie Bouchard - the first Canadian to reach a Grand Slam final in the open era.

And maybe never again, even if he does win it again. I think we could annex him though, in those circumstances, at least until he lost again.Worthy4England wrote:Think we'd nicked him by then, so he wasn't, under the terms of the competition, Canadian. Indeed, we had turned his picture to the wall by the time he got to the US Open final.Worthy4England wrote:Think we'd nicked him by then, so he wasn't, under the terms of the competition, Canadian. I enjoy the cut and thrust of discussion in TW. I think is great to disagree with other members opinions and have a debate. However, if in the course of discussion or debate, one protagonist descends to the level of personal abuse the other party has a choice between starting a flame war or simply backing off. When you, thebish, crossed that line with me and became personally abusive I decided that I would not respond to any more of your posts. This doesn’t mean that I ignore them – indeed I admire your skill as a photographer and think many of your opinions sound. However, I will not enter any more discussions with you because they seem to generate hostility. Although I have not responded to anything you wrote since last October, you seem slow to take this point so I mention it here to clarify. As far as Rusedski is concerned I responded only to W4E. I have no desire to have another endless argument about whether taking out British citizenship two years before you get to a grand slam final means you are still a Canadian or not. I don't really care.
