My first away game was probably one of the London games in the early nineties.
Last one... Sheff Weds 2014.

I was at both, I just can't remember which one was last. When was Forest away? I'm going to have to google it...bwfcdan94 wrote:You were at Derby, remember you tried to kill me, helpful how you forget such details.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:First - gawd knows, my memory doesn't stretch that far back, not to specifics anyway.

I seem to recall that Forest away was an early-season gubbing.Lost Leopard Spot wrote: I was at both, I just can't remember which one was last. When was Forest away? I'm going to have to google it...

Re: Your First/Last Away game?
Indeed, one of the dullest games I've ever watched. Livened up beforehand by meeting you, but so unmemorable otherwise I couldn't even remember whether it was this year or last.bwfcdan94 wrote:Which was a dull 0-0

First - Everton away (2003/04). Djorkaeff brace, 2-1 win. Duncan Ferguson scored for them I think.
Last - Sunderland FA Cup (2012/13) Sordell brace, 2-0 win.

''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Re: Your First/Last Away game?
My first Bolton game would have been early '90's as I never saw them away until I moved to London in '89.
My last one was QPR when Ream broke his nose.

Re: Your First/Last Away game?
First - can't remember, but almost certainly somewhere in the north west in the mid '70s.
Last - Charlton 2014.
A couple of random aways always stick in my mind:
Shrewsbury in 1980 - won 1-2 on a wet Tuesday night; first away win in about a year or so. The faithful partied like it was 1999.
Carlisle in 1983 - lost 5-0 on a wet Tuesday night. Nevertheless, the handful of Wanderers in attendance partied like it was 1999. IIRC, the "terracing" was, in fact, railway sleepers.

The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

Don't be despondent, you'll see far more 0-0s than 0-5s this season.Muur wrote:First - Wigan 2009, 0-0

Was at both. Did the Carlisle defeat come on the back of a few good wins?. I remember the rain, & being freezing cold on the way back, sat on coach that smelt of sick after a girl puked after too much rum & black. Happy days eh?..........................

Went to all those home games. God, they were a grim time. Particularly remember the Grimsby & Chelsea games as real missed opportunities to get out of troubleDave Sutton's barnet wrote:No. There weren't many around at the time:Il Pirate wrote:Shrewsbury in 1980 - won 1-2 on a wet Tuesday night; first away win in about a year or so.
