Talking of bills and going of on one completely. I brought some train tickets online the other day with a debit card, now my understanding was that a debit card means that the money gets taken out of your account immediately. However 4 days later I haven't been charged for t and I have since printed the tickets from the machine at the station, so when will the money be taken from my account and do I have to do anything other than have the amount in question in my account ready to be taken?

Debit card payments are usually taken out a few days later. You don't bank with Barclays do you? I know they have been having problems with card transactions, not sure if that also affects payments.

Dan, as BP says it can take a few days to show up on your account. You'll probably find the amount is 'reserved' from your bank balance. I've had stuff that has taken several weeks to show up.

If you check your account by phone it will give you a current balance and an available balance wchich is what you have to spend after pending transactions.

I have got a statement right in front of me. That explains why the available balance is less that the current balance, I thought the available balance is the amount I could withdraw/use at that given time. Thanks for clearing that up for me :) .

It wasn't necessary to the exam so I wasn't taught it will be the teachers excuse.

It's got nothing to do with education. It's common-sense. Or life skills.

£2m .... I'm amazed. Are we congenitally incapable of trying to get the sort of fees other clubs push for ?

Anyway, once we start naming prices he's more or less history I guess.

We used to do well, Ricketts, Curcic, Thompson, Gunnlaugson, Anelka and others all brought decent fees. We just seem to be mugs now.

'arry wouldn't pick up the phone unless someone mentioned £7m.

Ever.

At all.

Though he is crackers I suppose.

This talk about fees makes me laugh.

Imagine we were still a premiership side. And imagine we were linked with a keeper who played for a bottom half championship side. Specifically a keeper who'd had a mixed season. Including this....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmvE-WfL9PY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And we were quoted 2M for the player who has (to top it off) only 12 months on their contract. People would be aghast at spending that sort of money on someone like that. Aghast.

Yet now it seems we are "being mugged".

Nobody has bid a single £1 as yet for Bogdan according to the club.

Yet us setting a price at £2M is somehow seen as "selling ourselves short".

I really, don't understand it. Really do not.....
